About this deal

I shake my head slightly and look away from him. I hate making him upset, but being at Southern U is my thing. It’s my thing away from him, and I kinda love it. I love living in Texas. It’s somewhere so completely different from the California town I grew up in; it’s new and exciting, and I’m not ready to give it up yet. I know people laughed when we said we were going to stay together through college while living in different states, but we’ve made it work; only now, Ryan’s starting to lose patience. Now I’m waiting for the new student I’m going to tutor for the rest of the semester. It’s already October, so we don’t have much time to turn his grades around; not that I’m worried. I’m good at my job. So good, I get the tough cases, and supposedly this one is extra tough. Am I taking this personally? Yes. Shoot me in the head but yeah, this book came really close to my heart and I've never read a story that I’ve regret reading in my entire life this much. Not even when I accidentally read the Lovely Bones and gave myself an emotional breakdown for days lmao.

Once upon a time, I had all the hours in the world to write. Well, not really, but I could carve out enough time to get the words down. It was therapeutic. I copied Drew at first with it. The guy used to always scribble a bunch of nonsense that made my sister look like she wanted to faint, and I wanted to do the same. Not faint or make my sister faint, but touch people with my words. Hero grovels but sadly he's mean before, sleeping around and the truth is revealed at around 86% when indisputable evidence is presented. Also a main aspect of the book is the MC’s healing journey and how she navigates all the events in her life (especially in regards to the people who abandoned her when she needed them most) but then we literally get none of that when it was most important?? What a fantastic ending to an amazing series! . . . It took my emotions on a roller coaster ride but hey, all the good books do! . . . Four books and I still want more! I’m not quite sure I could ever get enough of these characters. They’re all complex, and beautifully broken in their own ways. Combine that with Monica Murphy’s fantastic writing skills and you always have a winner.” — Down the Rabbit Hole Chelsea is not my type at all. She’s smart and totally shy. I’m pretty sure she’s even a virgin. But when she gives me the once over with those piercing blue eyes, I’m really over. But in a different way. I won’t deny her ass is killer, but it’s her brain and the way she seems to crave love—like no one’s ever given her any—that make me want her more than any girl I’ve ever met. But what would someone as seemingly together as her ever see in a screwed up guy like me?

Ryan was an era of her life that she grew from. In my eyes, she wasn’t the same woman and she sure as hell deserved to move on with her life without him. As those cheesy Facebook memes put it: “if you aren’t there at my worst, you don’t deserve me at my best”. It had it's issues as well which I may make an entire review about in the future. For now let's bite into this sequel.... This book does contain a first person account of sexual assault so if you have triggers then this is not the book for you.*** He just took Ryan's side without hearing hearing her out, without even talking to her to ask what happened. Repeatedly rubbed it in Becca’s face that he’s with other girls with the clear intent of causing her grief

I read this duet inside of 24 hours. Four Doors Down was cute, a lighthearted but angsty high school romance about former best friends turned enemies with unsolved feelings between them. The writing felt... new, like the author had a beautiful story to tell and was still finding her footing as she brought the characters to life. I liked it. I wasn't completely blown away by the story itself at the time but I certainly enjoyed it enough to read it in one sitting and immediately move on to this sequel. If he loved her as much as he claimed he did, he would actually give her a second chance or at least talk to her. Until one terrible, unforgettable night away from Ryan. Until too much drinking and one empty bedroom. Until fifteen minutes of hell completely destroys her life and leaves Becca questioning everything she’s ever known. Until that night turns into a lie she can’t stop—can’t control. Right. Working a job you don’t even need, you little shit.” Fable hisses the last word at me, and it stings as if she’s lashed at my skin with a whip. Drew settles his hand on her arm, sending her a look that says “chill the hell out.” Existe la posibilidad que haya estado más susceptible de lo normal mientras leía este libro porque yo, que me enorgullezco de mi falta de emociones, estuve a punto de llorar mas de una vez.I freeze and try to stifle a sigh. I’m not ready to have this conversation yet; it’ll only lead to a fight, and I just want to enjoy being together. They were right. It was a total stage that wasn’t really a stage at all. More like a front. But I’ve never been comfortable around guys. They give me even a hint of attention and I think they have ulterior motives. They want something from me I don’t want to give.

I hate him. I sorta hate guys in general. Once, when I was almost fourteen and suffering in high school as the young kid no one liked with hardly any friends, I went through a stage where I believed I was a lesbian. I told the few friends I had, I told my parents, I told everyone who would listen to me that I liked girls. I never told them the reason why I’d decided I was a lesbian. It’s official! When it comes to NA romances and inner monologues, Monica Murphy is a queen! . . . I highly recommend Four Years Later! If you read the earlier books then you just have to get this one too. It was wonderful to see how the earlier couples are faring . . . but Monica Murphy had truly made this Owen’s book. I love it!” — In My Room ReadingAnd the icing on the cake of an ending? She finally, finally decides to date again and that night she goes out with some guy, Ryan comes with cause he wants to “meet the guy” even though it’s eating him up inside to see Becca with another guy (oh give me a damn break). But that’s when Becca realizes oh wait, she still loves Ryan and wants to be with him and they go home to have sex. The end. No seriously, that’s literally what happened. Ugh, I honestly would’ve even rated this higher if they didn’t end up together. That you’re working in excess of thirty hours a week.” Dolores—that’s my counselor’s name. She sounds like a man and she’s ancient. She’s probably worked at this college as long as it’s been around and considering it was founded around the turn of the twentieth century, this bitch is old as dirt. “That’s too much, Owen. When do you have time to study?” The glass door swings open and my college counselor peeks her head out, her expression grim, her gaze distant when she stares at me. “You can come in now, Owen.” Until one terrible, unforgettable night away from Ryan. Until too much drinking and one empty bedroom. Until fifteen minutes of hell completely destroys her life and leaves Becca questioning everything she’s ever known.

Four Years Later (Four Doors Down, book 2) by Emma Doherty

Now I wish I’d moved with them. Gone to Stanford like they originally wanted me to. Well, like Fable wanted me to. Drew told her not to push. The more she pushes, the more I pull away. Emotional and gratifying . . . This romance was full of tension and longing! . . . Monica Murphy has another win with Four Years Later. Owen and Chelsea’s story was touching and passionate, and is sure to make you sigh in contentment by the end.” — Waves of Fiction She and Ryan are a couple. She is madly in love with him and he is madly in love with her. And even tho they go to different colleges and don't see eachother very often, they're both really happy. Bad move.. Por eso una estrellita menos. Yeah. That made me proud as shit. I idolize my brother-in-law. He makes me feel safe. He understands me when Fable never, ever could. Not that she doesn’t try the best she can, but she’s a girl. She doesn’t get it.We’ve found you a tutor,” the counselor says, pretending as if my sister’s outburst hadn’t happened. “You’re going to meet with her in an hour.” Not only that but he constantly pressured Becca to change schools so that they can be together when he didn't even think about him changing. ACTUALLY at one point I just wanted you to put me out of my misery! A Tillie Cole shout out there... she's murderous with her plot twists! Acted like a basic pissbaby the entire book and had the audacity to keep tabs on her life despite trying to move on And I did. With the Stanford thing, with the move-in-with-my-sister-and-her-husband-in-the-big-ass-mansion thing. All of it, I said no to.
