About this deal

If you were sad before that you can't take your electric guitar with you to camping and play Master of Puppets to other campers this is solution for you :) Expected battery life under continuous use: Alkaline battery: Approximately 7 hours, Rechargeable Ni-MH battery: Approximately 9 hours (When using batteries having a capacity of 2500 mAh.) * This can vary depending on the capacity of the batteries and the conditions of use. Since the Katana-Mini has an extremely advanced yet compact design, you can plug in and get serious guitar tone wherever you are. Inspired by BOSS’s flagship Waza amp, the Katana-Mini has a Brown setting that delivers amazingly expressive, high-gain tones that are rich with harmonics making them ideal for heavy riffs and face-melting solos.

Yes, reverb on its own would have been nice, but you have to be at peace with what we have here. But well, there is no dedicated reverb module, but you can get a reverb-like effect by dialing the delay knobs to certain values. It gives 7w of power througha 4" speaker however that speaker has been optimised for the guitar so that you avoid thin, tinny guitar sounds. 3-Channels & Delay Here’s my favorite one – a 3-band EQ (Bass, Middle, and Treble knobs) that really gives this amp extra tone shaping capabilities. A lot of the budget amps tend to skip this one! Simple feature but all you needed (im a demanded guy actually, Tone knob only doesnt satisfy me, minimum must have 3-band EQ. I have heard a lot about Katana's, so I gave this guy a try when I was looking for a practice amp for a small apartment. I was a great surprise!! I could not be more happy. It has a really nice clear sound, and great volume. But what surprised me it was the overdriven sounds. For low volumes, it truly delivers a nice round warm overdriven sound, that makes you enjoy practicing. Its really simple to use, and even have some on-board effects for even more fun while playing.

KATANA-AIR EX

Absolutely not! It’s what you can expect at this price. Besides that, the handle is large and firm enough. There is a minor con with this handle, which I’ll talk about in the “Portability” section. Not only have Boss created a little amp that sounds great in the room but it also has a cabinet simulated output which means you can plug it directly into a recording interface and get great recording tones. The Cab Sim emulation is voiced with a bigger sounding cabinet so it'll sound huge when plugged in! Specifications

Well, I believe Boss knew that as well. This is not the amp you want to drop or leave it lying on the stage at your next gig. AC adaptor (sold separately) Current Draw 350 mA Expected battery life under continuous use Alkaline battery: Approximately 7 hours For its price and size, the Katana Mini offers more than enough. Overall, I’m happy with the features. Please Note: The Boss Katana Mini does not come with a mains power supply, the recommended power supply is the RolandPSB-1U. On the other hand, if you need to boost the already overdriven sound coming out of it and take it to the modern metal territory, then pedals will definitely help. How Long Do Batteries Last in Boss Katana Mini?

Full BOSS Katana amp flavour in a tiny portable guitar amp, the Katana-MINI uses authentic multi-stage analog gain circuitry to deliver serious guitar tone while traditional analog EQ and delay add to the features that you just don’t expect to find on a mini guitar amp. Specially Designed for Full Katana Sound in A Mini Amp If you need good cleans as a foundation to then add grit, squeals, and all sorts of growls via pedals, the Katana Mini is not the best amp for that purpose. Its cleans are pretty boxy so you won’t get the desired results.

Serious Rock DNA Forged Into a Compact, Battery-Powered Amp

BOSS Katana amps have received accolades from guitarists everywhere for their fantastic sound and feel, onboard effects, and great value. Now, the Katana-Mini makes serious Katana tone accessible in a small, go-anywhere amp that runs on batteries. Offering sound quality that far exceeds other amps in its class, this miniature powerhouse features an authentic multi-stage analog gain circuit for big, expressive sound, plus a traditional analog EQ and an onboard tape-style delay. Ultra-compact and travel-ready, the Katana-Mini delivers inspiring Katana tone anywhere you want to play. I gave 4 stars for quality because this amp is made 100% out of plastic; solid, hard but still plastic. I also give 4 stars for sound (if you take into account the size of the amp and how it plays than it should be 6 stars). This can vary depending on the capacity of the batteries and the conditions of use. Accessories Owner's manual Alkaline battery (AA, LR6) x 6, Rechargeable Ni-MH battery (AA, HR6) x 6 or AC adaptor (sold separately)

It uses plastic everywhere without any fancy appointments. The only off-center addition being a couple of thin plastic strips and the “Boss” logo on the front. The Boss Katana Mini only has a single effect – Delay, and it has two controls for the effect: Time and Level. Boss claims that the battery on the Katana Mini lasts for about 7 hours. In my testing batteries lasted 6-8 hours. Usability is one thing I really like about this amp. It’s simple and enables you to easily tap into every feature of the amp. Buy the Katana Mini and you won’t be disappointed. In fact, you will be really happy with it unless you’re one of these audiophile it has to be perfect kinda guy.The addition of a basic delay is what makes this amp is nifty to practice with. It gives your tone a little bit more space and makes it that much more pleasing to the ear - especially when you're practicing those Van Halen runs on the Brown channel. From Home To Hotel Katana-Mini, bringing the incredible sound and feel you get from the BOSS Katana amps and fitting it in a small, go-anywhere amp that runs on batteries. Boss Katana Portable Mini Amp For me it is a toy, which plays much better than I would except from the toy of that size. I am using it mainly in my house when I want to play not in the room where my standard amp is standing (i.e. in my son's room when I am putting him to sleep, this amp is perfect for this purpose). Yes the reccomended AC adapter PSB-120 does add some interference that disappears when you touch the strings. I have tried hooking into a ground to the ground screw on the unit that I created in my shed but didn’t solve the problem. Also found this issue went away when you touch the ground screw on the rear. This is not a huge issue really, just slightly annoying…just keep your hands on the strings or metal parts on guitar. I just rest my palm on the bridge of my Stratocaster. This issue isn’t apparent when using batteries. I suggest using rechargeable batteries. And bar a few exceptions ( looking at you VOX!), you can expect average build quality and feel at best. The same applies here, too.
