About this deal

Going to the laced Predator Edge, you get two options: one with the Facefit collar and one with an angled low-cut finish. As expected from any adidas silo, it’s only the laces that make the difference, though the Predator adds a twist by adding a high-cut option for the .1. All in all, as pointed out by Josh of SR4U in the video, the current combination of the Zoneskin, Primeknit, and lacing setup is not that great of a remix. Weight – Edge gained weight across the board, from the + down to the .1s, without any additional performance benefit Lining might be better than some Nike Pro boots; not cheap or tent-like and has decent amount of padding in between the liner and the upper

Upper – Freak’s Primeknit may not be a standout in comfort, but it still moves and wraps around the foot decently; again the Edge’s Primeknit, perhaps due to the Zoneskin, is just plain stiff Highlight: The latest generation of Predator, featuring updated rubber DEMONSKIN across the upper – true Predator DNA.

Adidas football kits

adidas do have Kid-specific makes for the Predator Freak.3 available in Laceless and Laced Collared only. Does the Freak.3 have other soleplate versions for muddy pitches, 3G Turf, or Futsal courts? The Adidas Predator Freak.3 Turf football boot is designed to give you high performance on artificial turf. It features a mid-cut design for optimal ankle support and stability as well as a lace up closure to keep your foot secure. The high grip lugged rubber outsole provides maximum power and hold in indoor and artificial settings. These shoes have a regular fit and are said to be true to size. Demonscale

Upper padding causes a distant ball sensation; may be remedied if you go with the laced version rather than the laceless which just has a lot of room around the foot As a Predator release, they match the DNA you expect from the silo, maybe more so than other previous releases because of how aggressive they are. But, I get the get feeling that adidas are trying a little too hard, adding elements just to create more of a WOW factor. The collar is a little challenging to get into, and the added DEMONSKIN seems a little over the top. So, for me, the low cut version that is trimmed down seems like a much more “sensible” boot option. Retail Details The Demonskin are actual rubber spikes potruding out of the toe box. They are now replaced with a minimally textured print in the Demonscale. How does the .3 feel on feet and which among the laced and laceless .3s is better? The .3 uses a less premium textile mesh coated with silicone compared to the Primeknit material of the top-end model. The soleplate is also made to be a single plastic piece, designed with the looks of the Controlframe's split stud build. Also the grip element is changed from the Demonskin rubber spikes to Demonscale graphic print. How does the Demonscale differ from the Demonskin?Go for your normal boots size as this fit true to size. Width is relatively constant from rear to front and will accomodate even players with slightly wide foot shape. How much does the Predator Freak.3 costs? First, the Demonskin rubber spikes are replaced by the strategically-positioned Zoneskin ridges. Second, the collar’s height has been reduced and a slit is added on the front to make it easy to stretch the opening and insert the foot. Lastly, the new Facetframe outsole is still split-soled but features less cut-outs, a more straight-forward triangular stud configuration, and a weighted ‘Power Facet’ toe box piece meant to shift the weight towards the front when striking the ball. The upper is still Primeknit-based, but the fit and feel have changed because of the reengineering mentioned above. Our Thoughts… Go for your normal boots size as these fit true to size. Width is relatively constant from rear to front and will accomodate even players with slightly wide foot shape. How much does the Predator 20.3 costs?

Options and Pricing – Just on price alone, the Predator Freak is the better buy given their huge discounts todayAs is the case with every Predator release, there are high expectations and a desire for a complete performing power boot. It comes with the territory, and adidas has pulled out all the stops on this latest laceless version. We’ve had them in testing the past few weeks, here is our breakdown on what exactly you can expect from them. Thin tongue may cause lace bites; number of lace crossovers not enough and may place unnecessary pressure on the lace holes adidas do have Kid-specific makes for the Predator 20.3 available in FG-specific and MG soleplates. Does the 20.3 have other soleplate versions for muddy pitches, 3G or Turf? Grip – Freak grip elements are small and spaced out, not stiffening the Primeknit; not the same with the Edge as discussed; grip levels are the same; Zoneskin more durable than the Demonskin spikes, which might have issues with a piece or two falling off
