About this deal

I have a reprile heating pad and a timer plug which can swith on and off at pre programmed intervals. I use a brew belt during the cooler months of the year as the room where my fermenter sits is a little colder than the rest of the house. This is a heating belt that goes round your bucket, keg demijohn or other fermenter to keep it warm so your yeast ferments at it's preferred temperature.

The TopBrewing heat belt is a revolution in brewing temperature control, with its own temperature control dial you can regulate the heat unlike any other belt on the market. Cost-Effective: Heat belt heaters are relatively inexpensive compared to other temperature control methods, such as a temperature-controlled fermentation chamber.Someone I know was telling me how they were really pleased with the mat they'd got and that it was holding the beer at a steady 28C. Then I got a stainless conical fermenter which I keep halfway up the stairs, where it's a bit warmer. It is ideal for aiding fermentation with one or two demijohns or any make of 5 Gallon/25 Litre vessel, and is suitable for beer, spirits, and wine making.

Additional measures like timers or third-party thermostats will give much finer control of fermentation.Designed to fit around 25-litre (5 gallons) fermenting buckets/vessels, it can also be used with two 5-litre (1-gallon) Demijohns. Ideally, we want to control fermentation temperature as close as possible to the optimum temperature range for the yeast strain we are using. Perfect if you need to keep your brew in a spare room, garage of cellar where the temperature is less than idea for brewing.

When I use them I cycle them on and off with a thermostat so they are not on constantly but I would assume they have build in safety features to prevent overheating. Fits fermenting vessels, 25 litre kegs, 1 gallon demijohns (Please note this belt will not fit around a Fast Ferment). Simple in design and ease of use, it's the perfect solution for maintaining a consistent temperature and producing high-quality beer. Heat pads and heat belts are the most economical way to keep you fermenter temperature from dropping too low. Some mention it's a quality product that works as required, while others say that the quality is poor and doesn't produce anywhere near enough heat. With regards to the last point a means of moderating the heat output can be a very good way to ensure the fermenter stays exactly in the range you want. Heat belt heaters are adjustable and can be set to the desired temperature range for optimal fermentation for this you just move the heater up or down, Down for more heat, higher for less heat for your home brew. I'm guessing there was a dry joint or bad soldering just after the resistor, or the resistor itself just burned out. Whilst we endeavour to make sure that glass bottles are packed as well as possible we cannot send out replacement for any breakages. To use the heat belt, simply tighten it around the brewing barrel/fermenter and adjust the position to achieve the desired temperature.
