About this deal

Volt is a peripheral device used by software for audio I/O. This article contains general instructions for peripheral I/O device setup. For specific instructions on how to operate the audio software itself, consult the documentation for the software provided by the developer. Tip: You can power Volt by connecting the included USB-A to barrel connector power cable to a USB power adapter, then connecting the barrel plug to this power inlet on Volt.

Traveling light? Plug Volt 176 into your iPad or iPhone, and you can easily create beats and samples, record your band’s rehearsals, and edit songs anywhere (requires external Volt power supply and an Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, except iPads with USB-C). Capture Inspiration for Years to Come Mittlerweile sind fast alle Interfaces >100 Euro weit mehr als ausreichend, was den Sound angeht und Alleinstellungsmerkmale immer seltener. Another practical advantage of the Volt 276 that shouldn’t be underestimated is the higher resolution of the level meters. In comparison to the tiny input level LEDs of the Volt 2, the 276 offers much more precise input and output meters with 5 LEDs per channel. This makes it much easier to spot level issues at a glance. Because Volt is class-compliant and supports Core Audio, you can immediately use Volt for system audio and audio creation, recording, and mixing apps on macOS.For more than 20 years, UAD plugins and Apollo Interfaces have set the standard of analog modelling.

The Vintage Preamp adds a carefully crafted analog tube preamp emulation, inspired by Universal Audio’s all-tube 610 console preamplifier, to the sound. When the button is lit orange, the circuit is active. The upper panel is where the main action is, with Gain dials per channel, plus the option to switch in 76 Compressor and Vintage options. The first speaks for itself, with an analogue circuit enabling you to choose 1176-style Vocal, Guitar, Fast or Off one-button compression at the recording stage. Watch these videos to learn more about how to use Volt features like direct monitoring, Vintage Preamp Mode, the 76 Compressor, and phantom power. Tip: Although these presets are designed to work well with these particular sources, you can use any setting with any source. Feel free to use the 76 Compressor creatively. Shaping your sound with the Vintage Preamp and 76 Compressor Press this button to toggle the impedance and gain of the line input to accommodate a Hi-Z instrument, such as an electric guitar or bass. This button is lit green when the Hi-Z input is enabled.Connect Volt to your system using the included USB-A to USB-C cable (or another cable appropriate to your system) and power on Volt with its rear panel switch. Use direct monitoring on Volt to hear your input signals with no delay in your headphones and monitor speakers. If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered

On macOS, Volt appears as a Core Audio device. You can configure the audio buffer size in your audio app. Tip: Clipping occurs when the signal is overloaded. When clipping happens, the top of the waveform is squared off, creating distortion that may be unpleasant. Clipping has creative uses, but is usually avoided. To prevent clipping, adjust the gain so only green and yellow meters light, and the red LED doesn't light. (8) Vintage Button

The Volts are a radical departure for UA, offering an affordable taste of the brand’s key ingredients. They’re incompatible with plugins from the UAD store and don’t even work with UA’s LUNA software. But they absolutely deserve to shake up the budget interface market with a great design, a plug-and-play workflow and hard-to-beat audio conversion. On balance I think that UA have judged the implementation of this feature well. It adds a genuine USP that’s not available on any comparable interface, and for the most part, its effect is positive or at least benign. With only three preset settings, of course it won’t do everything you’d want a compressor to do, but in an interface targeted at new and inexperienced users, adopting the principle of ‘do no evil’ is very sensible. Connect stereo headphones to this output. Headphones are connected with a ¼” (6.35 mm) TRS plug. If your headphones have a ⅛” (3.5 mm) plug, use a TRS ⅛” to ¼” adapter. (4) 48V Phantom Power Button Watch these videos to learn the basics: how to connect your Volt to your computer or iPad, headphones and speakers, instruments, and microphones,

Volt are compatible with either Mac, PC and iOS devices (Apple Camera Connection Kit sold separately) and each comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable. There is no need to worry about opening the box to find you can’t use your shiny new interface! Some audio interfaces give you a smattering of random audio apps. Not Volt. Instead, we put together a bundle of serious music production tools, virtual instruments, and plug‑ins from the industry's best. iPad & iPhone Ready Ampeg’s SVT amps are instantly recognisable. Now, you can access the killer tone of these bass behemoths in plug-in form! Generating the same accurate tones as the original (that was favoured by the likes of Bootsy Collins), apply the rounded, punchy low-end and gutsy midrange to your bass sound. Tip: Generally speaking, the INST button should be off when connecting a line-level source such as a keyboard or sound module, unless you need more gain. Connect Volt to your system using the included USB-A to USB-C cable, or another cable appropriate to your system, and power Volt on.Creating a Lofi Beat in Under 3 Hours with the Universal Audio Volt 276 - Featuring Conor Albert! When recording, you can use direct monitoring to record without latency at higher buffer sizes. Ich bin positiv überrascht. vergleichbar mit einem Elysia, DBX oder „vollwertigen“ Kompressoren von UA ist er aber nicht. Die Erwartungshaltung muss passen. When using an iPhone or iPad, simply plug the 5.5mm DC Barrel to USB Type-A cable (included) into the wall plug part of your phone/tablet charger (Volt 1/2/176/276 can use any 5V 1amp external USB PSU*). Then you can use full Volt features and run 2 channels of 48V phantom with iOS Garageband and similar iOS audio recording apps.
