Perfect comfort food, recipe was straight forward and easy to follow. Unusual but delicious mix of curry with a quasi-salsa. I made this as a weeknight dinner but I would make it for company. Bring to the boil a large saucepan containing approximately four times as much water as rice (by volume). cup 250g (8oz) of uncooked rice provides four generous portions. Cook as per any of the following methods. For best results we recommend you prepare as follows. Before cooking rinse rice and pre-soak for 15-20 minutes in cold water. Put twice as much water as rice (by volume) in a large saucepan with a pinch of salt if desired and bring water to the boil.

Shahzada Genuine basmati rice is grown and matured in the foothills of the Punjab. This gives it a unique distinctive aroma which creates a supreme taste. While the rice rests, combine onion, lemon juice, chiles, tomatoes, and ½ tsp. Diamond Crystal or ¼ tsp. Morton kosher salt in a small bowl. Toss with a fork to combine, breaking up the onion slices. Let kachumbar sit 5 minutes. Step 8 Love this dish! Harvested Swiss chard from my garden and decided this was what I would make with it. Great flavors and easily something to make again! Drain rice and cook in a large pot of boiling generously salted water until tender but still with some bite, 10–15 minutes. Next time we'll just make the rice in the rice cooker as normal. But the flavors were fantastic. Amazing flavors! A new comfort dish on the list of favorites. My family loved it and asked when we could have it again.
