About this deal

This dye is perfect for smaller items such as vests and delicates that aren't suited to the wash. Always remember to wear gloves during use to not stain the hands or cause irritation.

Please be aware that the instructions supplied are very basic, make sure that you read the printed instructions that come with each product before use. Weigh dry items to ensure that they are 2.5kg or less. If you need to treat more than 2.5kg of fabric, do so with two or more machine loads. The fat quarters in the photo below show how I’ve used more or less water to get different gradations of colors in my fabrics. Here’s how I did this:

Use DYLON Pre-Dye to change from one strong colour to another (e.g. from brown to tulip red) or to dye fabric to a lighter shade (e.g. brown to pebble beige). DYLON Pre-Dye - DIRECTIONS:

If you want to change the colour of fabric easily then using a pre-dye is the easiest way to do this. Since I prefer the more intense colors, going forward, I’m going to continue to use 2 liters (2 quarts) of water or less to dye my fabrics. This is referred to as “low immersion dyeing” where the fabric is not completely submerged in the dye solution.
