About this deal

The case of the P-125 has been slightly redesigned and modernized, but otherwise, it’s still a very compact and relatively lightweight digital piano that’s suitable for home use as well as for gig situations. Again, ensuring you get the best possible sound in all scenarios, the Yamaha P-125 applies its stereophonic optimiser, creating a special balance when using your headphones for a beautiful, expansive listening experience. More Than Just Piano While it does have its pros such as small size and weight, if your main focus is piano playing, you’d probably want something more realistic. Buy the Yamaha P-125 Adigital piano now and enjoy the incredible sound and playing experience of this beautifully crafted and inspiring instrument. Yamaha Flowkey

When the “ Fixed” setting is selected, you’ll get the same amount of volume regardless of the force (velocity) of your key presses. Metronome: You can configure the metronome not only for tempo, but you can also edit what beat the main “chime” is on (the default is 4, you can change that to 3 for 3/4, 2 for 2/4 etc). While setting the metronome is done with key combinations like on many other pianos, the numbers you use are clearly labelled, and you get a helpful voice indication of not only what you choose, but if you need to confirm your current tempo you can easily get a voice confirmation of that as wellThere are 6 dedicated buttons for each of the sound sections (Piano, E.Piano, Organ, Strings, etc.) as well as buttons for a metronome, rhythms, and recording features. Because of this, you can enjoy a rich sound field that envelops you, just in the same way you experience when playing an acoustic piano. It’s got 4 speakers (2 on each side), which is not something we often see on a digital piano in this price range.

Connect headphones, and you’ll find the Yamaha P-125A and it’s “Stereophonic Optimizer’ come into play, designed to avoid listening fatigue by creating a degree of audio ‘separation’ of the player from the sound of the instrument itself. The default “ Medium” touch sensitivity is optimal for most people and feels the closest to the real thing. Because the two are outfitted with the Pure CF tone generator, the grand piano instruments on both are no less than stunning. I do have to say that I was a bit more awed by the strings on the P-255, with the individual notes blending incredibly well. Its bass section is also wonderfully made. Piano Functions and Features Graded implies that the keys feel heavier in the lower registers and lighter on the higher end, just like an acoustic piano. The piano doesn’t come with a furniture style stand or a triple pedal unit, which are available optionally and great for those who decide to use the P-125 at home (see ‘Accessories’ section).

Moreover, a good pair of headphones will provide a clearer and more detailed sound compared to the onboard speakers. The Wurlitzer sound has a baked-in fast tremolo that you can’t remove, and the string sounds all suffer from the common Yamaha peculiarity of not sustaining indefinitely with the damper pedal held down, but the four acoustic piano voices (Grand Piano, Live Grand, Ballad Grand and Bright Grand) really shine and secondary players like the harpsichord, vibraphone and clavinet sounds are perfectly serviceable. There are some default demo songs in there. Actually, while at the music store I selected the jazz piano demo and then played along with it. The sales person was blown away (or at least tried to look impressed, after all, he wanted to sell me the item..LOL).Such location doesn’t allow the sound to freely flow from the down-facing speakers, so Table EQ adjusts the frequency distribution to get the best possible sound quality. A ‘Table EQ’ mode can be engaged to optimise the sound when using the piano on a flat surface like a desk or table rather than a stand. This presumably affects the sound output from the speakers on the underside of the instrument, shifting focus to the top speakers, and seems to do its job effectively.

One (User) song can be stored in the instrument, plus you can load up to two MIDI songs from your computer. The Yamaha P 125 is a fantastic digital piano that offers a high-quality playing experience at an affordable price point. With its Pure CF sound engine, GHS weighted action, and 24 included voices; this piano is perfect for beginners and experienced players. First of all, many of today’s digital pianos use stereo samples, which sometimes require two notes for each key played. It’s got the same high-quality Pure CF sound engine, which uses samples of the world’s acclaimed Yamaha CFIIIS 9′ Concert Grand.Just like the P-115, the P-125 has a music library with 50 preset piano pieces from famous composers such as Bach, Debussy, Beethoven, etc. This is one of my favorite features. It actually has a built-in speaker system. So there’s no need for you to connect to a sound system or amplifier every single time. Even if you’re just in your room or studio, you can play this instrument for practice purposes. No extra wiring needed. Just plug it in to a power source, then start playing. I like it. Demo Songs That You Can Play Along With The British Aerospace P.125 was a British supersonic STOVL multirole combat aircraft being developed in the 1980s. The project was cancelled in the 1990s. The existence of the project was revealed by BAE Systems in 2006. [1] Development [ edit ]
