About this deal

i’ve been living my best life with a massive headache. in other words: a dry spell, a book slump, that doesn’t want to quit no matter what. Please note: This listing is for the published, revised version of Offside only as there will be some substantial edits and changes. She is a brilliant tattoo-covered brunette that is 100 percent his type even though she is definitely off-limits. Since he is in his senior year of college, scouts have been watching his every move and he cannot food to ever get benched for a misdemeanor. They were a couple before, until Nash decided to break up with Violet because of his family problems. I do understand that he done it for a reason, but he hurt Violet. And she was still feeling the hurt through the book. That was the main reason that she decided not to trust him that easily. The sparks, the love and the heat between both of them were again... still there. I am happy that there wasn't that much of tug and pull between them. Violet was scared that Nash will hurt her again, and he was scared for the same thing, with the exception that he was determined not to do the same mistake twice. Lots of mention of bending her over and taking her but it was always so sweet. It was more the fact that he said it repeatedly and it just never happened. I felt set up for some explosive scenes and was just so sweet all the time.

Since he broke her heart, she know better than to fall for the man moreover the college had imposed a strict no-fraternization policy between athletes and their trainers. I really enjoyed the chapter lengths as well, they weren't long but they weren't short. They were perfect, in my opinion, because the length and the words didn't give me enough time to be bored whenever the next chapter would be right around the corner. Sex was ALWAYS on the brain for these two, mainly in the first half of the book. Not even the action of it, just the thought. I hated it. Nash Richards was my first everything. First boyfriend, first time, first love. First heartbreak, too.

For example, there was no “he smiles for the first time” moment OR “i haven’t heard him laugh before bc he’s so grumpy but now he is and it’s magical” moment EITHER.

Just like many of her contemporaries, Avery Keelan plans her stories very loosely. When she begins writing her story, she usually has an idea of the landmarks she is aiming for and always knows the destination. Since she usually writes genre romance fiction most of her novels end in a happily-ever-after. Moreover, the coach knows too much about him and he is sure the last thing he would want is for him to date his daughter. His avoidance strategy has been working but then Vaugun starts failing calc and he finds himself being tutored by Luna Ward. somehow the enforcer made me fall in love with sports college romance (and reading), to an extent, all over again. this reinvigorated me in unfit body, destitute soul and wretched mind. thank you avery keelan. Like at what point does it get only a little exiting? All I’m asking for it a 0.5 effort. Chase loans her family money and he has to make it up for her. “You know, I’m pretty mad” bailey says as she smiles. NOT EVEN A THANK YOU. She never tried to get a job, she just kept drinking her vanilla latte and let chase pay for everything while using a victim coat every chance she could get. This is not what i look for or want to recognize in a female character. Like the bar for her was so low, everything made her sad and she needed to be taken care of etc etc. that’s usually something i would enjoy in a book, even prefer. So use your fantasy to imagine how tame it was handled in this book. God was it traumatizing to read. Anything traumatized this girl, willingly going into a sex store? Left a dent in her soul apparently. She was just so boring in the relationship. Nothing exciting ever. no condom - they do talk safety and both say they’ve never gone without protection with anyone else - h is on BCThe only thing worse than having a “one that got away” is knowing you’re the one who pushed her to leave. — Nash Chase was the star of the book for me. He’s funny, filthy, protective and honestly hot af. Everything else just felt very drawn out yet not quite fully flushed out. I still enjoyed it because I really do like character driven novels focused on the couple, and I’m down to try the next book in the series when it comes out. Otherwise Engaged” by Avery Keelan is another beautiful romance between Thayer and Bennett. The former believed that pretending she had a boyfriend would help to get her out of trouble, only to find that it landed her in more. There was mention of Bailey having trouble having Os. His response was amazing, but I expected this to play out in the bedroom, but nope. Immediately orgasming with him every single time. I really wanted it to happen because we never ever see this. Women don’t always have orgasms or struggle to have them, and it would have been so amazing to see this in a book.

Their story is cute, the banter between them is hilarious, and the spice is 👌🏻, but the book took a hot minute to get into and I almost DNF. Plus the whole Luke/Kristen drama was a little over the top for me, and felt too drawn out. Overall though, I ended up loving it once it Following a string of scandals and substandard grades, Chase is on thin ice with his teammates and tyrannical coach. The last thing he needs is to have his focus and loyalty called into question by fraternizing with his team's #1 rival. But a beautiful stranger who throws herself at him one night is too tempting to pass up... Until she throws up on his shoes. One last thing, the spice was...immaculate to say the least. I can't even begin to explain where my head and voice went with the spice. My spice rating says it all. Problem is, our chemistry is hotter than ever—and he’s determined to make me give him another chance.. Unlike many authors who do not have a favorite novel, Avery Keelan has said that her favorite novel is “Rules of the Game.” Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog.
