About this deal

It was almost nice to see someone that didn’t give up hope, even though I don’t know how I would have reacted in her shoes. The convos between Ava and Shalini are hilarious and I can't help but be happy for Ava for having such a great best friend. The reality TV / competition to win the chance at becoming the Seelie Queen is going to be a love hate situation for readers. As Frost and his team dig deeper, everything seems to lead back to Ivan Fielding’s murky lifetime of misdeeds. I did really enjoy the descriptions, and the world-building was nice though not particularly groundbreaking.

However, both Bunt and Frost end up getting captured by the evil John Lord that now runs the city, relying on his enslaved citizens. I know there are many positive reviews for this one but I personally found a lot of flaws in it that made the book simply boring and unoriginal for me.

Not much spice other than a few passionate kisses and heated touches, but it's obvious that will be cranked up in future books. Honestly, I should have seen it coming with the way that things were going, and yet it still came as a shock to me.

Torin – is the typical broody love interest but it’s the tension between the pair of them that really invested me in their relationship. Fast-paced and frequently violent, this suspenseful SF tale with a resilient, goodhearted heroine raises thought-provoking questions about what it means to be human and the nature of love and loyalty. This was such a surprisingly dark read, especially since the cover is so beautiful and the book premise seemed so light, which was quite apparent from the first few pages.I am trying to read some of the books that have been on my TBR for quite a while and Frost has was my latest choice. praying scholastic let’s the author release the sequel, it has been written and has said to be better than the first book and i need to read it asap!

I immediately downloaded book 2 and I'm speeding through this review so I can go start the next book 😅 Loved reading this with you all! There were times when it seemed like everything was about to end, but then I saw I still had more of the book read and figured that something good had to happen eventually. A serial killer is murdering local prostitutes; a man demolishing his garden shed uncovers a long-buried skeleton; there is an armed robbery at a local minimart and a ram raid at a jewellers. It’s all about trusting the author to make a story as believable and verisimilar as possible – and I quickly lost my trust here.N. Crawford really did an amazing job at making the smallest, most unimportant characters still SO unlikeable, wow. and a bit twee (turns out she was only grumpy because she was lonely, of course) – but I appreciate that that’s not how a child would necessarily see it.

After all, their city is a ruined wasteland and is a hunting ground for Eaters and robots gone rogue - any other human caught outside is fair game. P. Kozlowsky, a world where society has fallens and there are human eating other humans has come true. I said before in my WWW Wednesday post this past week that I’m not the biggest fan of journey-type plots, and, so far, all books with that type of formula have seemed to become my least favorite books. The blurb seemed so intriguing and the way it was marketed made it seem like a perfect read for any fantasy/fae book lovers but it wasn't the case.Strauch, mad painter, isolates himself from the world by retreating to the hamlet of Weng near Schwarzach im Pongau. Christine is from Lexington, Massachusetts and has had a lifelong interest in New England folklore--with a particular fondness for creepy old cemeteries. So this is a story about a girl named Frost (yes, another book named after the main protagonist) who lives in a world that is pretty much destroyed. Like i stated in the beginning, i'm not very into reading because there is nothing good to read about, but this book made me go home and read and enjoy it! I felt that he could have used a little more character development because I enjoyed his character but I didn't feel as attached to his character as I did with Ava's character.
