About this deal

Each of our specific probiotic strains need various nutrition sources to aid in their growth in culture. Cow's milk and soya are used in the fermentation (manufacturing) process, although it goes through a filtration process a number of times, and the cryoprotectant coating applied to our strains before freeze drying to enhance stability. On testing the final Lepicol, small traces of casein have been detected so would not be suitable for those with a severe milk allergy (to milk proteins). Tests have also shown that many of our strains produce lactase, the enzyme deficient in lactose intolerant sufferers necessary to breakdown lactose (the milk sugar). Our products are therefore suitable for those with a lactose intolerance. On last testing soya was below the lower limit of detection.Lepicol and our whole psyllium husk products are a gluten free. The fermentation mix used to culture the protease in Lepicol Plus contains wheat/wheat derivatives. Therefore, Lepicol Plus may not be suitable for coeliac sufferers. Only non-GM ingredients are used. Lepicol may help support and maintain healthy bowels Lepicol is a completely natural high fibre food for help maintaining and sustaining healthy bowels. Lepicol has been formulated to help support the cleansing and regulation of the bowels in a gentle, natural way and is suitable for regular, everyday use.

Improved Gut Transit: The combination of soluble and insoluble fibers can help regulate gut transit time, preventing both diarrhea and constipation. Bowel Movements: The fiber content in Lepicol powder may help add bulk to the stool and promote regular bowel movements, reducing the likelihood of constipation. shoppingListJS = new ShoppingListJS({storeId: '11352',catalogId: '28501',langId: '-1'}, {id: '1265926', name: 'Lepicol Plus Digestive Enzymes Powder - 180g', image: '', type: 'ItemBean', components: {}, skus: []}, {}, "shoppingListJS"); Pregnancy:Lepicol is suitable for use during pregnancy, but we would always suggest consulting your doctor or healthcare practitioner before taking any food supplement. shoppingListJS = new ShoppingListJS({storeId: '11352',catalogId: '28501',langId: '-1'}, {id: '954435', name: 'Lepicol 180g Powder', image: '', type: 'ItemBean', components: {}, skus: []}, {}, "shoppingListJS");If you are taking any medications or have any medical conditions please consult your doctor before taking any food supplement. Found Bodykind a few months ago. I am really pleased with their service. I have relied on Lepicol for many years. I now have the perfect combination of reliable product and reliable provider. Excellent - definitely to be recommended. Different types of high fibre foods in the diet can have a synergistic effect and can complement the effects of the psyllium husks in Lepicol. It is good to get into the habit of taking different sources of fibre - for instance, most fruits and vegetables are a good fibre source. When increasing fibre in your diet or through supplements, it’s advisable to do this gradually, as sudden large increases can aggravate initially digestive issues in some. Lepicol is designed to be taken long term however, some people may use Lepicol at key times in their life e.g stressful periods or when travelling abroad. I don't have critical bowel problems, so it's hard to justify buying this product on a regular basis at the price. My plan is just to take one sachet per week or per month depending on the need, so as to make the box last. I can also envisage the product being useful when traveling, as I tend not to drink much on long journeys, and then end up being prone to constipation for a few days after that. Worth at least trying if you are trying to find a natural digestion/bowel aid and haven't tried this yet.

Adults: Take 1-2 heaped teaspoons mixed with a glass of water or juice once or twice daily (5 -10g) and consume immediately. This should then be followed by a further glass of water. Psyllium Husks (Plantago ovata/ispaghula), Inulin, Live Bacteria - Lactobacillus Rhamnosus PXN 54, Bifidobacterium Bifidum PXN 23, Lactobacillus Acidophilus PXN 35, Lactobacillus Plantarum PXN 47, Lactobacillus Bulgaricus PXN 39 Please note:Taking Lepicol without water can cause choking. Always aim to consume a 250ml glass of liquid with every heaped teaspoon. Please consult your doctor before taking Lepicol if you have recently had intestinal surgery or you have an intestinal obstruction. If at any time you experience discomfort after taking Lepicol, reduce dosage or stop taking and seek medical advice. If you are taking any medications or have any medical conditions please consult your doctor before taking any food supplement. I take a big heaped tea spoon every night about 7 .You have to have 2 glasses of water with it as the fibre needs to swell to carry everything through ( a bit like Draino for pipes ) .I soon gave up having it plain .I have it whizzed up with tomato juice or in a nice flavoured protein shake. It comes in handy sachet form and I have taken Lepicol with overseas and wouldn't be without it . Adults: Take 1-2 heaped teaspoons (2.5 - 5g) mixed with water or juice once or twice daily and consume immediately. This should then be followed by a further glass of water. We recommend starting with a low dose and building up gradually to suit the individual.Lepicol also contains Fructo-oligosaccharides which have been shown to complement high fibre foods for healthy bowels by supporting intestinal healthy bacteria (probiotics). This is an excellent product for doing what it says. However, I do prefer the Lepicol Plus as it has the advantage of added ingredients, botanicals and digestive enzymes to assist with good digestion. Please note:Taking Lepicol without water can cause choking. Always aim to consume a 250ml glass of liquid with every heaped teaspoon. Please consult your doctor before taking Lepicol Psyllium powder if you have recently had intestinal surgery or you have an intestinal obstruction. If at any time you experience discomfort after taking Lepicol, reduce dosage or stop taking and seek medical advice.

It has been a rescue for me after 10 years + of all sorts of non effective medication, now I only use Lepicol. Some people may experience discomfort when they first start taking Lepicol. In this situation, the dose should be reduced until the discomfort subsides. If the discomfort continues then seek medical advice. I have always gone to the toilet every morning all my life.Due to medications has had constipation on & off for the last 4 years.Since 2012 I have taken Husk fibre daily, but bowel transit has been slow. I'm gonna be honest, it has a a bit of a strange taste but as long as you drink fruit juice with it you can't notice.

Lepicol contains 3 main ingredients:

For allergens please see ingredients list in bold .Contains soya and milk, used in the fermentation process. Content of milk is at a level that would not affect lactose intolerant sufferers. May contain traces of mustard and sesame. Lepicol is a three-in-one combination of gentle psyllium husk fibre supplement, live bacterial cultures and probiotics.

Allergen advice: or allergens advice see ingredients list in bold. Contains soya and milk, used in the fermentation process. Content of milk is at a level that would not affect lactose intolerant sufferers. Clearly most people are now aware of the need to take in more fibre, particularly if you have sluggish bowels and for this many rely on fibre in their cereals. However, taking extra coarse or bran fibre is not the whole story. Bran fibre from wheat can be too abrasive for many, particularly those who have allergies to wheat. I don’t care it works! I’ve tried Fybrogel and Metamucil. Both slightly more pleasant in that they are both citrus flavoured. But would rather take something without the artificial flavourings!!Please note: Taking Lepicol without water can cause choking. I tried the product when visiting the UK in June 2015 and found the effect on my health and management of my "system" following an operation for bowel cancer 7 years ago amazing compared to the product I was using at home. We recommend taking Lepicol at least 30 minutes before a meal. Take Lepicol Plus+ 10 minutes before a meal. Shake before use. The volume of water we recommended drinking with Lepicol could increase fullness so it is not recommended to take alongside a meal. This is a guide and for some people the timing may vary to fit into their daily routine. Lepicol can therefore, be taken any time of day away from food.
