About this deal

There is a lot of history to go through and we do get to read about Sahara's family and her becoming friends with some of the other characters we already know. There are some really sweet scenes and one of my favorites that calls her "little sister". (I loved that!) I wished we had gotten more scene time from more characters but there really wasn't enough time.

For the past seven years, Sahara was in captivity. While her captors wanted to use her powers for their favor, Sahara found a way to escape. She was able to get lost in the deepest corners of her mind, where no one could harm her. Where she couldn't feel. Where no one could discover the nature of her true powers. During that time, she was tortured, her mind was violated, her memories faded, and all that remained was the shell of the sixteen girl she used to be.But a very young Kaleb was fortunate enough to find pure love from an innocent girl named Sahara. They never knew it would turn into an epic love affair. In a dramatic and satisfying serving, HEART OF OBSIDIAN not only surpassed my high expectations, but Singh has ruined me for all other books. Passion on this level cannot be easily redone or replicated. Only Singh holds that power to blend lethal power and restrained passion and make it work. In the age of celebrity, Kaleb Cooper emerges as an unlikely role model. He has “zero interest in any drug that isn’t cider” and while others of his generation are gluing themselves to pavements and moaning about the debts they have accrued in acquiring their ’ology degrees, Kaleb has quietly been eschewing academe to pursue the British rural dream, and make a fortune in the process. So, the hero might be The Ghost, with the candicate are Kaleb, Vasic or Aden (based on discussion on Nalini Singh fans Goodreads Group).

This is a book you should read: the story of a young man who has dealt with, and lives with, more than most of us do in our lifetime. Go, Kaleb.”— BOBBY CLARKE, NHL legend For my early opinion and guess about this book, you can see it in this spoiler. Contain so many amused thing, I'm assured you :) As for Sahara's character, she a very smart and strong woman but also super loyal. I loved how she was with Kaleb, they really deserved each other. Such a strong and amazing couple! Sahara Nightstar, Faith Nightstar’s cousin who had disappeared seven years ago and had been held captive and tortured by one of the Council Members. The pain she endured and her mind almost erased was beyond belief. Sixteen Broncos—their eyes dance and their smiles appear everywhere in Crossroads. With anguish and hope breaking through every line, Kaleb’s book shows it’s not the end of those lives. Deeply affecting and beautiful.”— RON MACLEAN -The big news drew praise from fans and even Prime Video UK, who commented: ‘Now that’ll be two books we’ve read. Congratulations on the book.’ Ever wondered what goes down at a Tar Barrel Festival? Don't know your wassailing from your wife carrying? Always Sahara had seen him. And always she had refused to walk away. The last time, it had cost her seven years of her life. This time, he'd lay the world itself at her feet."
