About this deal

If teenagers’ lives are full of good and exciting things to do, they will not have the time or the desire to get involved in bad things. Muslims believe that Allah is in charge of their lives and decides how long they'll live. The Qur'an states that the good will receive reward, whilst the bad receive punishment.

They, too, believe that Jesus can perform miracles and that he will one day return from heaven. Teachings of Adam in IslamMuslims of course get their teachings and principles from the Islamic holy book known as the Qur'an. Below we have two passages from the Qur'an which relates to the Muslim hijab principle: These Islam primary resources also feature a variety of helpful teaching materials for your KS1 children. This means to believe in the Divine Decree (the Will of Allah), which controls the eventual outcome of all actions in the universe and these cannot be changed. Belief in the Decree strengthens ones belief in God and a Muslim always puts their trust in Allah, no matter the situation, as Allah is all knowing and most wise. Nevertheless, man is given free will within the boundaries of the Divine Decree. Muslims understand that they have control over their own actions and can identify the difference between good and evil. Jihad is the struggle to keep belief in Allah and follow his rules, to continue to follow the Five Pillars of Islam successfully and to defend Islam. The greater jihad is each Muslim’s personal struggle to live a good life, while the lesser jihad is the struggle to defend Islam against its enemies. Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do’ - 24:30.

Try to encourage this by regularly taking him to the mosque or by sending him to an Islamic school where he will have the opportunity to meet Muslim children. Find or make an Islamic environment so he can make new Muslim friends. If he becomes friendly with non-Muslims, do not worry as long as it’s not a negative influence. Perhaps your teenager influences them toward Islam. But Islam was never incorporated into either Judaism or Christianity. It remained a separate religion and soon emerged as a new empire and a new civilization. The revelations that Muhammad received were collected into the Koran (or Qurʾan), the holy book of Islam that directed Muhammad’s followers in what to believe and how to live. The hajj is an annual Muslim rite that every believer is expected to take part in at least once in his lifetime, if he or she is physically and financially able to do so. It is also an important act of religious worship and devotion. From the seventh to the tenth day in Dhu al-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic (Arabic lunar) calendar, thousands of Muslims converge on the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia to visit the holy shrine of the Kaaba in the Great Mosque. Tradition has it that the shrine was built by Abraham, considered by Islam, Judaism, and Christianity to be a prophet and the founder of the faith. The pilgrimage culminates with the feast of sacrifice, one of the two major festivals that are celebrated during the Islamic (Arabic lunar) year.As we now know, the hijab is a principle of Islam which states that those who follow the faith should show modesty in one way or another. Because of that, it’s often interpreted in a range of different ways by the variety of people who practise the Islamic faith.
