The Genius 8000 launched as a cut-down, value version of the original Genius 9000 brush, and it still feels like a high-end toothbrush despite its price. It also gives an excellent clean, with a choice of six brush modes and three brush heads – CrossAction, 3D White and Sensitive – to cover a wide range of dental needs. Its Lithium-Ion battery still needs charging overnight but will last for over an hour of brushing from there on in, which should cover you for a couple of weeks. If you feel you won’t use it, you may want to consider if the Pro 3 3000 is for you, you will be paying for a feature you won’t necessarily use otherwise.
Sealed inside, these parts are protected from water and moisture. This means that the brush is water resistant and can be rinsed under a tap and used in a shower. Despite both brushes coming with multiple brush heads, the travel cases provided with each brush are capable of holding the brush handle and 2 heads only. There is a great deal to like about the iO and this is without a doubt a step up for Oral-B. But, the downside is the price. It costs quite a bit more than the Genius X and does not deliver significant benefits that would be justifiable to most for the price. Conclusion This means that the LED sat behind the panel lights up. You get a bright red light that you won’t fail to notice. In our testing, we were able to get 66 minutes of usage time from the rush, which equates to 16 days use.Aside from the colour of the brush the physical size and shape are identical and you would not be able to tell the two apart unless you noticed the additional cleaning mode icon found on the 9000. Up to 100% more plaque removal and gently whitens your teeth starting from day 1 by removing surface stains Battery life isn’t up there with some Sonicare models – you’re looking at a recharge roughly every three weeks – but if you want the latest and greatest toothbrush tech for less, there’s no better buy. To fit or remove the brush head simply align the metal with the hole in the shaft of the brush head and push the two together until you hear and feel them clip into place.
