Hello my copy seems to have a press release large gatefold sleeve with a picture of the front cover of hounds of love with the text The Album hounds of love with a purple ribbon and a double sided purple A4 sheets. It’s very exciting to see the resurgence of appreciation for the physical presence of albums released on vinyl. If you can’t afford it I understand and am sorry, but don’t rain on everyone else’s parade, that makes no sense.

Vinyl in EXCELLENT condition, MINIMAL superficial surface marks and minor background noise in places. Interestingly, ‘The Big Sky’ is no longer indicated as the ‘single mix’ even though it must be, if they are using the 2018 version.

As was promised earlier this year when Kate moved her distribution to The State51 Conspiracy, special presentations of Hounds of Love have just been announced on Kate’s newly re-launched official Fish People site. The Baskerville Edition is accompanied by a beautiful new Cloudbusting-themed video which depicts a young Peter Reich (actor Gus Turner) receiving the record and telling his story. I can only say that I found this track to be one of the weaker tracks on the old version and listening now, it sounds so much better. Beautiful art with a wonderful story and endorsed by David Bowie whom, it’s safe to say, knew a thing or 2 about art. Featuring "Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)", it has since been certified Double Platinum in the UK by the British Phonographic Industry. All three new editions of Hounds of Love will be released on 1 December 2023 via The state51 Conspiracy. Elsewhere, the new site features new notes and specially chosen footage by Kate on all of her albums as she reissues her full album catalogue.Fish People are also reissuing the regular vinyl and CD versions of Hounds of Love and believe it or not (Stranger Things fans, ahoy! Waking the Witch' is bloody amazing, I love the beginning dialogues, and the last minute and a half! I now listen to the likes of Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie (Lady Gaga inspired this choice mostly), and so on, due to this album!

Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. Fortunately, Bush was afforded creative control over her immensely more abstract than necessary promo clips, which invariably accorded with, added new meaning to and translated her lyrics, inevitably showcasing her symbolised sensuality and sense of wonder in an overtly stylish and romantic manner. There is way too much sibilance on this release - and that really isn’t acceptable, given there are adequate methods to minimise inherent faults in the original master.

As a result of this promotional push and greater sophistication, Bush gained more exposure and expanded her audience. Many have grumbled about the Big Sky swap - maybe the album master tape is no longer available (or damaged) or maybe Kate really prefers the single mix - either way it doesn't sit well as the initial vocals are lower in the mix, so the whole track seems a lot quieter than its surroundings. The Baskerville Edition is a gatefold vinyl presentation with entirely new artwork by Glasgow-based design studio Timorous Beasties (who delivered some of the illustrations for Before The Dawn). Inside The Boxes of Lost at Sea are two vinyl records, described as “UV print on a side without grooves, on white vinyl.
