About this deal

Sequence up to 64-steps with 8-note polyphony and 8 pattern slots, or explore 8 modes of arpeggiation. Four new knobs with an LED screen can be found in the centre of the KeyStep 37's control panel giving you hands-on, instant access to great new tools.

It's not really a problem (except for meaning I always have to have that octave- LED on when playing synths! WARNING: When your Decksaver cover is in place, please ensure that your equipment is kept away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, fires and direct sunlight. KeyStep 37 combines a flexible 37-note keyboard with intuitive sequencing, instant chord generation and creative real-time MIDI controls that let you discover and interact with music like never before.

Other than Chromatic, there are only three preset scales to choose from (Major, Minor and Blues), but you can very quickly define a User scale by holding the notes that you want to include. Take a premium 37-note slim-key keyboard; velocity-sensitive slim-keys with aftertouch, colour-coded LED feedback on triggered notes, 3 octaves of musical legroom in a compact form factor.

To sync with your external hardware, there are x3 CV Outputs on the KeyStep and KeyStep 37, whereas the KeyStep Pro has a whopping x12. To top things off, the Keyboard play mode allows you to switch to playing a live line over the top of a sequence once it’s been triggered.Experiment with Chord mode, where you can select from 12 contrasting chord variants and strum effects. With the Keystep 37, Arturia have taken some design queues from the original keystep and the keystep pro, adding an extra octave of keys for a wider playable range, scale mode with LED readouts, so you always play in tune, a BPM readout, enhanced chord modes, a brand new strum mode and four assignable MIDI encoders, which can you to control you MIDI CC gear or DAW. This creates a random note pattern that repeats instead of randomising each cycle, and has a specific length that you can set up to 64 notes. I respectfully, but completely disagree with the opinion that the Syntakt has the better MIDI sequencer.
