About this deal

If a train isn't in the list, you have to configure it yourself. "Global" is just for buttons, not for controllers. That's also why there is no "main controller". If you look in the tutorial at 4:54 you have to enter the correct joy no. and axis of your controller for each train. Note that your controller won't show up in the white window, if its position is 0. If it doesn't show up, even when moving the controller, please tell me. Now, onto controllers: Windows 10 natively supports Xbox 360 wired controllers. Every controller that you use on the PC, with some exceptions, are considered by Windows to be Xbox 360 controllers - even Xbox One/SeriesX/S controllers. Many controllers do work, however, without any extra programs, as Steam has a compatibility mode for most of them. This makes them be interpreted as X-Input controllers, but all button icons will be for the Xbox 360 or One, unless your game specifically has a modified UI for different controllers. Train Simulator isn't one of them. It's also worth pointing out that the menus in Train Simulator are pretty dreadful for controllers, so you'll want to use a mouse to navigate them.

It always bothered me with other programs that they became quite inaccurate and also did not change the controller continuously variable. Therefore, I wrote my own program.

Specifications

Throttle/Brake handle – The PBC had a Throttle/Brake handle which is typically used as 4 brake notches and upto 7 throttle notches.

Door close buttons – These only work on trains which allow it, many trains you are not able to manually close the doors. For these cases, you are able to assign the door close button with different functions such as DSD reset, sand, cab light, and more coming soon. Firmware is the software, or programming code, inside the PBC itself. This may be updated occasionally to provide new features or improvements.Dovetail Games have said they will support external controllers in a future release of TSW2. When that is ready, the controller should be fully compatible. If you would like to use the PBC with TSW2, please get in touch with Dovetail games requesting they add external controller support. All TS Controllers/Alan Thomson Sim hardware products are proudly hand made in the UK in small batches. This ensures quality and reliability. comfortable and efficient editing functions with extensive capabilities, to undo and restore entered data,

Yes. In the case of trains or locos with separate throttles, such as a sprinter or a Class 37, the handle will control the throttle only and fit to the relevant notches on the controller. Drive your train with realistic throttle, brake, reverser and switch controls, plus 34 programmable buttons. RailDriver® Desktop Train Cab Controller - feel like you're driving a train, not a computer. The train operation can start immediately without complicated setting of routes, itineraries or timetables Master Key – The master key works with the majority of trains including AP and JT add-ons, although some DTG trains do not support it. See the compatibility for full support information.

DRA switch rotary switch -Drivers reminder appliance. This is used as an aid for the driver, and cuts the power when turned on. The RailDriver® Desktop Train Cab Controller includes prototypical levers and controls for the ultimate interface to computer-based railroading. An internal bass speaker supplements your existing sound system and adds realistic vibration to the controls. I am working on version 2.0.0 where a lot will change. However, it will still take a little while until I release it.

there are other boards that can be programmed as arduinos, STM32F Blue Pill boards that are very cheap can be easily programed as an 'arduino maple mini' Not sure about Steam, but DS4Windows definitely allows you to use the touchpad as a mouse, as well as lots of other useful features (far more in depth than Steam). Dovetail Games announced they will provide support for external controllers in a future release of TSW2. They are currently working on a programming interface to enable 2-way controller communication similar to TS2020. When this is released we will be working on support as soon as possible. Please get in touch with Dovetail games requesting they add external controller support, as the more requests they receive, they higher the priority it will become for them.

Not normally no. An internet connection is required if you want to use the automatic updates of the software and firmware. I have included a lot of trains, but configured them to match my "thrustmaster t flight hotas x" and the German language I still use the XInput solution in TSW2 and TSW3 because controlling throttle and brakes directly is really nice. Also, with the other tools I mentioned in my previous post I can split and remap my hardware levers to the Raildriver axis so that they match 1:1 with the loco I'm driving. For example, the Raildriver has throttle and brake on the same lever which is not the case for all locos like in the BR 185.
