About this deal

I was thrilled to see The Clancy Brothers ("with special guest just for tonight: Tommy Makem") (though Robbie O'Connell's harmony was seriously lacking). Now available for the very first time in stunning High-Definition 16:9 with remastered audio, this essential Blu-ray also features 40 minutes of previously unreleased bonus material including rehearsal footage, a look behind the scenes and interviews. the In Memoriam on the back of the booklet is a sad reminder of who's left us since the event: Mr and Mrs Cash, Rick Danko, Donald "Duck" Dunn, George Harrison, Richie Havens, Levon Helm, Lou Reed and others .

Highlights of this event for me are Lou's incisive teleprompter take on Foot of Pride and Sinead's courage in actually bringing some protest to the celebration of my favorite finger-pointing song and dance man. O'Connor waited patiently for the booing to stop so she could perform the song, but the audience wasn't stopping. One, a colossal library box housing the artist’s official Columbia Records album canon, from 1962’s Bob Dylan through 2012’s Tempest.

I can’t be bothered with Neil Young and put up with as much as I could before resorting to fast forwarding him. It lasted for a mammoth four hours and featured guests including George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Tom Petty and Johnny Cash and many more, all backed by the house band of Booker T and the MGs.

that are not included on previous DVD sets, as well as interviews that were conducted with the performers. Dubbed “Bobfest” on stage by a jubilant Neil Young, the 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration reached a transcendent crescendo with an unforgettable performance and all-star jam featuring the evening’s honoree. The deluxe edition also features rehearsal footage of Sinéad O'Connor, who was supposed to perform Dylan's gospel classic I Believe in You at the event but was booed off the stage following her controversial Saturday Night Live appearance when the singer ripped up a photo of the Pope. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.
