About this deal

This fantastic book, The Total Motorcycling Manual, is definitely a veritable classic about motorcycles. It was released be Cycle World magazine. This non-fiction motorcycling book goes alongside other non-fiction books about motorcycling. It contains fantastic tips on motorcycling gears and maintenance. It also covers tips on how to ride safely, what bike to buy, touring tips, and tips on repairing your bike.

Motorcycle Electrical Techbook by Tony Tranter This one is pretty heavy on detail and technical explanations. It also covers early model electrical systems AND a lot of later-model systems (which may be of no interest to the average customizer who is chopping up an older bike). Since the target audience is motorcycle technicians it probably hits the mark. Running with the Moon is travel literature that encompasses two separate events in the life of the author. The book displays the human struggle that follows when the person you love most suddenly dies. Even when all seems lost and pointless, the author shows us that we cannot let grief take hold of our lives. Life must continue despite the pain. Striking galleries to showcase the key motorcycles of each period, along with their specifications and distinctive features.Motorcycle Basics Techbook by John Haynes All common engine, chassis and electrical systems fully explained and illustrated. Topics covered include engine cycles and layouts, carburetors and fuel injection, ignition systems, clutches, gearbox, engine lubrication and cooling, wheels, tires, braking systems, suspension, steering, handling, design and electrical systems. Edited by Gestalten, Ride Out! is a collection of riding experiences and advice from around the world. Readers will learn about motorcycling in California, South Africa, Japan, China, Patagonia, and more when they buy this book. Perfect for planning your next big trip! We often hear about the dangers of riding, but there’s a reason we’re willing to take the risk. Riding a motorcycle can create some of the best memories of a lifetime — or some of the worst if we’re not prepared! Motorcycle Handling and Chassis Design by Tony Foale Tony is (in my opinion) a legend in the field of chassis design. He seems to have been working on making bikes handle since before most of us were born.

Motorcycles are sometimes called “rolling art,” and this book dives into the beautiful and complex story of their history. Classic Motorcycles: The Art of Speed uses beautiful imagery to cover “the history of motorcycling as told through the most significant, iconic, classic motorcycles of all time, with both period photography and modern portrait photography.” If you want to see the classic bikes of BMW, this book is definitely the best book to buy. The classic bikes portrayed in this book range from pre-World War II BMWs to the present. It includes the R5, the military R12, the R75M, the R69S, and many more. This book also features the famous Peter Nettesheim collection, one of the premier collections of BMW motorcycles in the world.

If the original godfather of overland travel writing is Ted Simon, there’s no doubt that Michael Corleon is Sam Manicom, whose epic eight-year journey is told across his four books. But he contributes just a single chapter to this new publication – one piece in a collection of short stories from 20 round-the-world travellers. Building your motorcycle library should start off with a solid foundation of educational books — and Total Control by Lee Parks is the perfect way to do that! Total Control is the next step up in street riding skills, and helps riders navigate the ins and outs of high-performance street riding.

The book was originally titled Diarios Motocicleta and was first published in Cuba and was later translated into English by Alexandra Keeble entitled The Motorcycle Diaries: Notes on a Latin American Journey. This book edition was published by Ocean Press and Che Guevara Studies Center in Havana, Cuba in 2003, and it included an introduction by a renowned Latin American poet, Cintio Vintier, and a preface by Guevara’s daughter, Aleida Guevara March. Written by none other than the illustrious revolutionary Che Guevara during his early adult life, this book is more of a memoir than a diary as the title suggests. In this book, Guevara and a friend, Alberto Granado, set out to explore the whole of South America on motorcycles. It was during this journey and after witnessing all the social injustices (the exploitation of the poor peasants and laborers, the segregation of lepers as well as of the ethnic minorities, and the branding of social reformers as communists) that Guevara galvanized his belief in revolution and the unification of South America. Motorcycle Tuning – Chassis by John Robinson This is a great book for the racers, as the focus really is making motorcycles go fast around corners. If you have a race bike, or are building one, I’d recommend you add it to your collection. This book is “a must” for all motorcyclists to read. This book functions not only as manual but also as a guide. The author, also a professional photographer, uses not only words but pictures to convey to readers the message and information he wants to share. I would definitely consider it an asset to my shop library, but my engineering training included a couple of years of electrical/electronics so I found it a great refresher. Without some high school math/physics/chemistry (at least), the descriptions might be tough to follow.Jupiter’s Travels was first published in 1979 and has ever since been considered as a very influential book. Since the first appearance of the book, many people have been inspired by it, including well-known celebrities such as Ewan McGregor (young Obi Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars franchise). We’ll see a book by McGregor next. Other celebrities were inspired to document their adventures on film. The Art of BMW: 90 Years of Motorcycle Excellence is a fantastic studio portraiture of what BMW has been manufacturing in the past 90 years. The book consists of portraits of bikes, and each bike shown comes with an authoritative profile.
