About this deal

I’m a big fan of Spicebomb, Pulse of the Night, Herod, Oajan, Habdan, Carlisle, Blessed Baraka, Side Effect, Rehab, Dior Homme Intense, Guerlain L’homme Ideal EDP, Philipp Plein No Limits, and this fits right in there with them, I pick up on similarities between each one. Some say it's been somewhat stripped of its originality in reformulations, how much that is true or its place in the scent world of now I don't know. The spices and tobacco, with the floral accords in the background, supported by mild sweetness, amount to a very sophisticated and masculine fragrance. Top notes of rum, cardamom and cinnamon provide a vibrant addictiveness, whilst the leathery floral heart of tuberose contributes to the sophistication of the fragrance.

Picture a suave and confident businessman in his 40s, attending a corporate New Year's dinner party with his elegant wife. What makes the beautiful drydown is everything that isn't written in the official notes; There's a whole lot of Iso E Super, a fair amount of ambroxan, some sandalwood molecules, a good quantity of musks with a vetiver and patchouli accented drydown. This is just so good…the rum and tobacco with the leather and spices makes this one of -if not the best- winter and fall fragrances out there.

Tuberose starts the sweet cycle of this perfume, but the sweetness reais up with a sour dark leather that contributes to the fragrance DNA. I do see why this is marketed towards a male audience but the mature vanilla makes it wearable for me as well - I was always more the Katherine of the Hepburns than they Audrey, anyway. Smell reminds me of painful experience with hot chili peppers and it reminds me of having pain in stomach. The opening is rustic, the smell of a powerful male who is well dressed and inside a semi-formal environment where fine drinks and bitter content are served, potent drinks that perfume the environment with a characteristic aroma of distilled herbs, added to a spice of woods vivid and more heavy smoke, sweetened, full-bodied that in addition to being heated, cooled by the mild climate of the environment. I think it's a really nice fragrance to wear in around fall and winter I spray around 3-4 sprays which last 3 hours with projection and 3 more hours without projection on my skin.

Personally I like the scent — it is mature, very masculine and suitable to wear in a biker jacket or suits. Has strong remnants of rum from where its owner spilled his drink, with strong remnants of spicy tobacco smoke. With Bvlgari Man in Black, Bvlgari expresses the impetuous and mysterious character of fire, a transformative element that symbolises strength and energy. The scent isn’t very original and not very versatile… projection is bad, sillage is minimal and it has poor longevity.A heady tincture of spice-heavy iris follows, though this mellows with the dry-down, turning the iris note soft and the spice powdery, until you're left with an intimate, smoky vanilla. While we strive to provide accurate and helpful information, we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy or reliability of the AI-generated pros and cons. Inspired by the mystery and energy of fire, this fragrance is a representation of a new statement of masculinity. Having read and understood the Privacy Information Notice, I declare that I am over 16 years of age and I would like to receive information about Bulgaris creations and services.

The opening is like spicebomb the og one after it dries down it gets different you can smell the leather and the wood notes it is a masucline fregrance not as sweet as spicebomb though. The warm ambery rhum is delicately beautiful, while the floral note of Tuberose is indeed seductive and it exudes mystery, finally the Tonka and Benzoin upscale the charm within. You'll come across as that VP everyone talks about that drinks Rum and Coke with his lunch and falls asleep in the middle of meetings.

People like to give Bvlgari Black (1998) credit for being this edgy and daring avant-garde monster of a fragrance that was "niche before it's time" and all that crap, when the truth is that all perfume was once niche, and the excuse used to charge more money for something a little less contrived than what marketing data spits out comes from the same boobs that think "niche quality" is a real thing with any actual meaning. Opening onto a seductively masculine blend of rum, leather and spices, it reveals a floral heart of tuberose and rose, completed by a base of sweet, smooth benzoin. Great for business professionals or more rugged individuals who don’t want something too fresh and sporty, yet enjoy more traditional scents, maybe even classic fougere’s but want something more modern, sexy and alluring. I can’t really say anything more than what has already been said but I do want to mention how great I think this scent is….All of the fragrances that i have that he created are awesome(for me as frag newbie maybe not for niche lovers). Man in Black would make an adequate substitute for London at least, but I don't know that I'm really in the market for one just now. The strongest of the notes are the spices and leather giving it a warm and animalic profile, followed by the tobacco and rum that add to the warmth and provide a little bit of sweetness. Although it's a really nice fragrance I wouldn't recommend it much to younger people as it fits a more mature man, but is one of my favorite rum fragrances. A magnetic Eau de Parfum with compelling powers of fascination, making a daring and charismatic new statement of masculinity.
