Harry Potter: The Blueprints

Insight Editions reveals a detailed look at what went into this painstaking process in their new book, Harry Potter: The Blueprints. These maps and notes were updated by Harper after the release of book seven, so although the images still say copyright 2006, they are actually revised as of 18 November 2007. My other main landmarks on this floor were the Room of Requirement (RoR) and Dumbledore’s office, so I tried to work out how they relate to each other. I was using Open Image Denoise before, but OptiX is faster and it’s retaining more detail, so I’m pretty stoked!

Interestingly, that guerite (small lookout tower) closest to the camera seems to have been slightly redesigned partway through the construction of the model. It roughly corresponds to the cobbled inner courtyard at Alnwick Castle, which was actually used in the location shoots for the first film, but the version in the miniature is much smaller and it has a different shape because of the way the Alnwick floor plan was reconfigured around it. Take care of your body, take care of your mind, and don’t be an ass to people who identify as transgender.

I have seen plenty of angles of it, but what I would like is some sort of official layout or blueprint of the whole shebang. My second method was slightly more complicated: I read through narratives in which Harry and his friends travel from one place to another. Jody has also written in Walt Disney's world, especially for and about the Disneyland and Walt Disney World theme parks with such books as "Popping Up Around Walt Disney World," "Disneyland Challenge," and eight years of souvenir books for both parks.

From this view inside the training grounds, the lowest parts will eventually be covered up by grassy lawns. Before we get into today’s post, I was asked to share a plan view of the original quad in my model, so…voila! Why Dumbledore was wandering around one night looking for a toilet (and finding the Room of Requirement) I really can’t say.
