While some go through a period of depression, many adult women who are diagnosed late report a sense of relief and validation when their experience is put into a perspective that makes sense and is not a moral failing. In my experience, this is one of the main causes of anxiety in female Aspies…as we, for the most part, have more biological social advantages, and the desire to nurture. As females with Aspergers become adults, they may feel isolated because they react differently to certain "stressful" situations.

She can go online and find peers to talk with, or stop being upset if she’s not a good fit for “typical” gender stereotypes. Women often are given diagnoses, years of therapy and medication without really understanding themselves. I resent the idea that girls are limited to fantasies centered on princesses and such or that their splinter interests would be as banal as doll collection. After purchasing a number of books which explain ASD to children - we chose this one as the one to use when it came to telling our daughter about her diagnosis.She doesnt know what shes missing socially, so friendships can end or co-employees can get angry and she is confused as to why. Many of those with this almost version of being on the spectrum are more comfortable and feel more accepted by others on the spectrum. My daughter is getting along just fine in this life and I wouldn't change her for anything in this world.

She is a manifestation of the greater good of cosmic unity, of togetherness, of the interwoven web of us.In the workplace, human resources directors and female managers also need to pay closer attention to creating accommodations and not contributing to social isolation of other females. People have strong conceptions of autism, most of the literature for kids does are not helpful to my daughter. creativiy and the brilliance inside each human is the key and celebrating who we are as beautiful humans and iwill add for my own benefit/ my opinion/ "created"/ xo.

I have several transcripts from different colleges and universities as well as a resume that resembles a long RAP SHEET exhibiting all of the jobs I have had in the last 30 years. The pictures are lovely too - lots of brightness and colour, and the questions at the end of each short section will prove invaluable for discussion. Teachers have noted social deficits, and she does group social skills therapy but is considered on par with 10 or 11 yr olds.I now think that it was my own ability to compensate and her ability to adapt that led up to last summer, but I can say that I am grateful to find out.
