generally has a more positive tone to it, especially in the earlier part, where Mo Ran feels happy and relieved for getting a chance to relive his life. The 2ha cast even has a chance to go on a couple of abventures before all the mind-blowing stuff starts happening.

I absolutely loved this book - the way the characters are depicted, the plot, and the word building are all immaculate. RESURRECTION AND REVENGE Wei Wuxian was once one of the most outstanding men of his generation, a talented and clever young cultivator who harnessed martial arts, knowledge, and spirituality into powerful abilities. But when the horrors of war led him to seek a new power through demonic cultivation, the world’s respect for his skills turned to fear, and his eventual death was celebrated throughout the land. Years later, he awakens in the body of an aggrieved young man who sacrifices his soul so that Wei Wuxian can exact revenge on his behalf. Though granted a second life, Wei Wuxian is not free from his first, nor the mysteries that appear before him now. Yet this time, he’ll face it all with the righteous and esteemed Lan Wangji at his side, another powerful cultivator whose unwavering dedication and shared memories of their past will help shine a light on the dark truths that surround them. You have an intense desire for dominance and a hunger for control, you crave taking by force all that you’ve chosen to want...

Come, brother, let your Gu Mang-gege teach you a lesson—eat more apples, they’re good for cooling, drop the blade and learn redemption.” CHARACTER DEPTH LEVEL +10 】 Three years have passed since Shen Qingqiu betrayed Luo Binghe, and now there are only two years left before his “deceased” disciple rises from the dead to claim his bloody glory as the protagonist. At least, that’s how the story is supposed to go. In the midst of investigating a mysterious plague, Shen Qingqiu discovers that his actions have irreparably altered the plot— Luo Binghe has returned all too soon and Shen Qingqiu’s brilliant escape plan isn’t even ready yet! Worse, Shen Qingqiu can no longer predict his young disciple’s actions. The only thing that hasn’t changed is Luo Binghe’s intense fixation on Shen Qingqiu himself, but even this obsession may be more than it seems. Not that Shen Qingqiu has the time to puzzle through all the inconsistencies. There are various parties at play in the changing plot, and if he doesn’t act fast, he may face a fate far worse than death. Also, I love how intricate the plot is. So many different layers, so many different lies. As Mo Xi unravels the mystery one later at a time… I’m in awe of Meatbun’s galaxy brain. How does one simply think of a plot so complex. How. However, I don't think being put through a filter of translation changes how little interstitial material there is. This book is just constantly composed of direct explanations of a character's thoughts or moods and conversations. There is no joining, no transition from scene to scene it feels. It's just like, oh, there was a massacre! And now we need to have the characters go report to the emperor, so now they're with the emperor! Oh and now they're on the trail of a killer! Now we're in a prison! It just felt a little bit jerky because of that.

Remnants of Filth: Yuwu (Novel) - Penguin Random House

And I know, I KNOWWWW I shouldn't compare these two books I know it but I can't not after getting my hopes so high. I had absolutely loved 2ha by the author and this novel, though a bit underrated, is highly hyped one in the danmei world which promises the same angsty style of the plot with memorable characters. That was all I needed to dive into this. Murong Lian had risen from his seat. His hand was presently clamped around that insane old noble’s wrist, and he was quite drunk. A fair trade: you give the item to me, I’ll give the person to you. Unless you don’t think he’s worth the price?”I could be wrong, but I feel like Meatbun might have a slight problem: she goes a little too extreme. I love how extreme she is, she’s not afraid to get her characters emotional, but sometimes, it’s a little too emotional. Rather than feeling the angst, I just start feeling awkward. Furthermore, she has the characters sometimes just do some uncharacteristic things that are just so bizarre it kind of takes me out of the reading experience. Mengze, thank you for your advice. But the matter between him and I has nothing to do with anyone else. I will protect him.” I will give you a home. I want to stay with you, always. [...] Wait a little longer for me... won't you…?""

I laughed at Shen Qingqiu for hate-reading a webnovel, yet here I am. I'm just praying I don't choke on a steamed bun and transmigrate into the world Hidden Truths and Buried Hearts The longer Mo Ran spends in his life reborn, the less he understands the man he once was, to say nothing of the teacher he so hated. As emperor of the mortal realm, Mo Ran loathed Chu Wanning with all his being, but the Chu Wanning of this life has sacrificed himself for his student’s sake time and again. Nevertheless, with the day of Chu Wanning’s greatest betrayal on the horizon, Mo Ran clings to his hatred and his hopes: he must not let the past repeat itself. Yet strange new tragedies continue to unfold, and Mo Ran finds himself working alongside Chu Wanning to hunt down the mysterious culprit—a cruel mastermind who may know more about Mo Ran than even he remembers. When it comes to the use of Chekov’s gun, nobody can compare to Meatbun. Nobody. Every little detail, no matter how seemingly insignificant IS IMPORTANT. No detail goes to waste, and ends up playing a crazy important role later in the book, and the moment when everything comes together - it’s mind-blowing and easily some of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen.

Success!

You and Mengze were childhood sweethearts, innocent playmates, who doesn’t know you were originally interested in her?” empezará One last note: I know I shouldn’t compare this to 2Ha, but I’m going to do it anyway! Out of the two books, 2Ha definitely has a much more significant impact, because it goes from some of the most wholesome things you’ve ever seen to really dark shit that leaves you reeling from how extreme it is, whereas Yuwu starts of dark and heavy, and remains dark and heavy till the end. 2Ha is also a lot more humorous, and as someone who loves humor, I really appreciated that. However, Meatbun definitely learned a lot from 2Ha. Yuwu is much better written, a lot easier to follow, and I wasn’t exhausted when I finished the book. Everything was still really extreme and if you’re looking for angst, you’re definitely gonna get it, but it didn’t leave me smashing my kindle into the wall out of frustration and exhaustion and rage, so that was really good too.
