I get that it's about high school aged people, so maybe high school aged people would relate better but holy drama, Batman. I was VERY dramatic after being dumped (and cheated on) by my first boyfriend in high school. But even I wasn't sitting there going on and on about how worthless I am and nobody should want me. If I were her friend in any capacity, I'd probably slap her on a regular basis. Kyle’s brother, Joshua is out of prison after two years. Before she turned 18 (or just the re about), before she graduated from high school, because she thought she wasn't developed enough? That's...unusual. Again, all you have to do is make your characters a tiny bit older and it makes more sense.

Josh was okay, not too bad, not showstopping. He was a mediocre love interest who had some good lines but their entire relationship seemed rushed despite them not actually getting together until the seriously rushed last chapter in which everything is okay and all plots are left unanswered. What happens with her parents? What does Bax do? Does Kyle apologise? Does she actually embrace the gang life that Josh is part of (and i say gang life as a thin term as its barely developed and only shown through a bunch of meetings in which they all complain about the main character) The storyline had so much potential but it was totally ruined by bad editing and cramming too much info into one book (unless there is a second book).Furthermore, the ending was abrupt and left me feeling feeling like I shouldn’t have bothered. There needed to be more explanations for the choices made. It seemed as though the author attempted a stylistic choice with the sudden conclusion, but it did not fit well with the rest of the story. It felt incomplete. She is forced to stay with him and his family but she soon finds the man that keeps her sane, isn't the golden boy — Kyle any more. It's his older bad boy brother, who just got out of prison. Support authors: If you like this and can afford it, consider buying the original, or supporting the authors directly. The story only focus on our MCs for a moment and it never got past that point, almost like a tease. Also, if you're like me and gross grammatical errors and random words finding their way into sentences makes your eye twitch - proceed with caution.

So I loved this book! It had me from the start, and I read it in about 8 hours. I gave it 4 stars for the spelling errors and the abrupt ending. GOD THAT ENDING! No epilog, no nothing. this book had a lot of potential. It had a good plot, great characters and a whole lot of drama. With editing aside, I think my main issue with this novel was that it was long drawn out. We had the same jealous and ridiculously annoying situations between our F MC and her ex-boyfriend. They spend so much time on this plot line and how he didn’t want to break up with her over and over again.

I feel like a lot of younger Wattpad authors are projecting - they wish they could be doing those things, so they create a (same-aged) version of themselves as a heroine who does all those things. Mary Sue anyone? Look, I was a teenage girl once. I get it. You want to be older than you are. You want to be a part of a world that looks so exciting. You insist that you're more mature than you are. Maybe you are mature. Are you adult-biker-hookup mature? Are you living-on-your-own-without parents-mature? You are not, I'm telling you (that was a fever dream for sure). And I'm not saying that the author is a teenager, although it's possible she wrote or thought the story up while a teenager. But that's how it reads. Make the characters a few years older. There's a world of difference between an 18-year-old high school senior and a 22-year-old college student. The college student is still immature, but they'recloser to being on their own and living an adult life and it shows in the choices that are legitimately available to them. Sophie’s parents had to go to Africa and she was forced to live with Kyle’s family because her parents thinks that’s for the best lol I wanted to enjoy this book more after reading it but it felt a bit short towards the ending. Give me more of her and Josh together. GIVE ME SMUT. I know I know that not every book is smutty or needs smut. But this has the perfect line up. I can’t even say it’s closed door. We don’t even get that. It’s just tension build up and then nothing. It’s just ends. They get interrupted or the subject gets changed and nothing ever happens.
