About this deal

M. Logan starts out with a shocking event right out of the gate, expertly grabbing my attention and holding it all the way to the end! More than any other criteria, the key thing these books have in common is simple: they are all books I’ve continued to think about since I finished reading them.

His life was turned upside down because of lies his wife was telling him and lies that someone else was spreading about him.Finding out your wife has been cheating on you for the past five months and then having to deal with what someone was doing to your life via social media is what Joe was dealing with. It has since won a Nielsen Bestseller Award and been made into a four-part TV drama starring Jill Halfpenny (currently available on Netflix UK). Logan’s inclusion of plot twists involving and illustrating the inherent danger of social media provide an opportunity for Joe’s observations about the “compulsion to share every event, every emotion, every success, every random thought, every half-funny conversation. Let me preface this whole review by saying: I love a good plot twist, but I love it when that twist is done right.

Most satisfactory is the role of cellphones in the conclusion for the technology that was being used to ruin his life, saves him. Just pop a note in the checkout and we will be sure to include tasty treats and beverages that suit your needs. I enjoyed the adorable child in this book who had a ‘part’ in LIFE WAS NEVER THE SAME AGAIN for his family when one night the child spotted “mummy’s car”. I was lured into Joe's world from the first few chapters and the twists kept me absorbed until the end. With the book’s conclusion, the author seems determined to shock readers at any cost - no matter what has to be sacrificed. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and had me quickly turning those pages, I just had to know what in the world was going on!

However the story slowed considerably and started to drag quite a bit in the middle, to the point that by the time I got to the “twist” at the end, it felt anti-climactic (though it probably didn’t help that I already figured out most of the ending already by then so the surprise element wasn’t there). After all, why describe, in such detail, how Wills likes to play airport parking garage, lining up his cars by color again and again? Ben is a charming, highly successful, and wealthy businessman known for his ruthless competitiveness. While the premise of the book was interesting, it is also one that has been done many times over so I was looking for it to stand out in some way.M. Logan is an unputdownable thriller in which each chapter changes the meaning of what came before, keeping the reader guessing until the jaw-dropping finale. Lies is fast-paced and filled with tension from start to finish, with twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. he came across as a little too naïve and clueless until the end when he suddenly figured everything out, which seemed just too implausible to me.

I'd say I was pretty invested in the story until about the halfway mark and for quite awhile after that I just didn't really care as much what happened to Joe. Sometimes you just need to read a really fun psychological thriller—and that’s the boat I found myself in last week. Playful and irreverent, spine-tingling and spooky, The September House puts a fresh spin on the classic haunted house story, delivering an immersive tale about the secrets lurking within one building’s walls, and within the lives of its inhabitants. Lies is an impressive and engrossing first novel, and bodes well for the prospect of more intriguing thrillers to come from Logan.Slow-burning yet simmering with tension and suspense, ALL THE DANGEROUS THINGS is hypnotic, immersive, and emotionally-impactful—the kind of mystery you’ll sink into, not coming up for air until you’ve turned the final page. Twisted, dark, heart-pounding, deceptive, distorted fun—do not start this book if you don’t have time to stay up late into the night reading it! After all, any finale can be hard to predict if the reader isn’t given even a chance at puzzling it out over the course of the novel.
