The Dorgard has a built in audio-electronic device which will cause the plunger to retract when the fire alarm is activated, thus closing the door and ensuring fire safety is maintained. Fire door retainers play a crucial role by holding open fire doors securely, allowing for easy movement and access throughout the building while preventing the spread of fire and smoke. Once this sound has been identified, after approximately 14 seconds Dorgard will release the fire door and under the pressure of the overhead door closer the door will close, sealing the area and preventing the spread of smoke and fire. Dorgard Pro is controlled by ProHub, which is directly connected to the fire alarm panel, offering the highest level of compliance for your building.

Please Note: Alarm sound level at the door's location must be higher than 65 dB to ensure that the Dorgard will detect and respond.
