About this deal

Early morning: Some people find that reading in the morning helps them start their day with a positive and productive mindset. The book follows Noelle, who posted pictures of her recently deceased grandmother and her secret ex-lover on Tiktok to find out who the man was. When a comment on her video says that the man on the picture is his grandpa, Noelle decides to meet him. The mysterious man who wrote the comment turns out to be someone she would never have thought of, her high school rival Theo. Paul, his grandpa, after meeting her a few times, agrees to go with her on a trip he once planned with her grandmother. The problem is Theo decides to go with them, and now she has to put up with him for two weeks. Given the overall themes of the book, I feel it's also important to mention that everyone's parents are alive and well in the book and remain so. This is true for everyone in the book.

During the day: If you have a flexible schedule, you may find it helpful to take breaks during the day to read a book. Overview: Two high school enemies must reunite for a road trip inspired by their grandparents’ broken engagement in this electric debut romance. Only the best of intentions.” His eyes glint underneath the lights. He looks wolfish, and suddenly I’m playing the part of Little Red Riding Hood. Only difference is, I’d love to get eaten up. The story is perfect, it was giving me 2000s rom com vibes the whole way through and I loved it. Road trip + past academic rival + his grandfather ?? Sign me up! I didn’t feel a spark between the MCs. I don’t really know what happened, it started pretty great but they kept so many secrets from each other, plus the fact that the trip wasn’t really that romantic considering Theo’s granddad was with them most of the time and she was working through her grief. So when they started to be intimate with each other I was like hold up a minute, how did we get here exactly?? I felt there was something missing; the build-up didn’t really have any substance apart from them having been rivals in high school but that was years ago at this point (and they haven’t seen each other since)thank you so much to netgalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me the opportunity to read an e-arc in exchange for an honest review 🤍 I hope you know how impossible this question is for me, an egregious overwriter. I’ll say: healing, affirming, sexy, banter-filled, thighs (it’ll make sense when you read it). An adventurous road trip with spectacular sights, poignant love letters from the past telling a heart-wrenching story between a beloved grandmother and her first love, and a brilliant and entertaining combination of enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, and sunshine-meets-grump tropes – this book is everything I want! Stunningly heartfelt and sexy beyond words. Jessica Joyce writes with a deeply empathetic pen, drawing each character with profound tenderness and crafting the perfect amount of rivals-to-reluctant-road-trip-companions-to-lovers tension - incidentally, my new favorite trope. I want to live inside this book." - Rachel Lynn Solomon

The heroine. I liked her at the beginning, but by the end she was driving me crazy with the choices she made. Let’s put it simply. She was a liar. She lied to Theo for not having a job, then lied to her partners about the trip. It’s not that hard and deep to say that you got laid off your job. At least she said that to him towards the end, but it’s a normal human thing. You don’t have to lie about it. But, that’s not even my main problem. My problem is that the third act breakup happened because she accused Theo of doing the exact same thing. Lying to her about his job situation. Theo was basically the same with his “I hate that you felt like you had to lie to me,”, but was doing exactly the same. We chat with debut author Jessica Joyce about You, With A View, which follows two high school enemies must reunite for a road trip inspired by their grandparents’ broken engagement. the fmc. she's the elena to this vampire diaries. she was just fine in like 70% of the book but as much as i understand grief, there were moments where i felt that she's the whiny kind. it was too late until i realised ALL SHE DOES IS CRY. (i'm a firm believer in the fact that if you're doing nothing to make your situation better, the least you could do is not whine)

Were you planning on dry humping me in other places? Just curious.” His teeth flash, almost predatory. Stunningly heartfelt and sexy beyond words. I want to live inside this book.” — Rachel Lynn Solomon, New York Times bestselling author of Weather Girl The writing style. There were some overused quotes that I've seen in too many romance novels, and I'm not talking about "I love you", but the writing was great. I couldn't complain.
