About this deal

Celebrating the Neolithic flint tipped arrows found in and around Bury St Edmunds, and the sharp eye of the hunting archers.

To mark this milestone, the legendary British metal band has released an anniversary label edition of Trooper Original and a Special Edition Trooper X Imperial Stout. Flint Eye is a dry, hopped lager, named after the Neolithic flint tipped arrows found around the brewery’s native Bury St Edmunds. Based at Haye Farm in East Devon, our organic brewhouse shares the land with a joyful group of young female pigs known as 'gilts'. I’m pretty impressed with this lager and I think it’s the perfect lager to quench your thirst on a hot summer’s day.

Subterranea, Greene King’s second limited edition offering, was created using a historic stout recipe from 1926 adapted to modern brewing techniques boasting roasted chocolate, coffee, and caramel notes, and named after a folk tale about a fiddler who got lost in the subterranean tunnels beneath Bury St Edmunds. the beer utilises yeast fermented at a colder temperature for a longer time, said to showcase its flavour balance. It has a hoppy aroma as well as notes of yellow fruit (banana, pineapple, peach and lemon) and a hint of honey.Creator of Home Cinema Choice magazine, and editor of The Luxe Review, Steve muses and reviews for Trusted Reviews, T3, Home Cinema Choice, Games Radar, Ideal Home, Louder Sounds, Channel News and Boat International. If you do require precise ingredient information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label. I feel very fortunate to live in the North East of England surrounded by some great breweries - we have Jarrow, Wylam, Allendale, Durham, Mordue and my newly discovered Tyne Bank Brewery to name but a few. Greene King has launched two new beers into the premium craft sector, and is backing its brews with a massive advertising campaign. This crisp, dry-hopped lager is our tribute to the Neolithic master craftsmen, whose razor sharp, flint-tipped arrowheads are still turned up by farmers’ ploughs today.
