About this deal

Please note, this right to change your mind shall not extend to Products which are sealed for health protection or hygiene purposes such as headphones or wireless ear buds or Products which have been made to your specification and personalised as directed by you. Going back to my personal experience with this machine so far, the only negative thing I can mention is something beyond Sage's control, and something you'll find on other recently manufactured home espresso machines, which is the 15-minute auto-off due to this EC directive. It takes a couple of minutes to heat from cold to operating temperature, although you can set the clock and set an auto-wake time, so your machine’s ready and waiting for you when you get up in the morning. Choose between one shot, two shots or manual control over how much espresso ends up in your cup for the perfect dose every time.

Steam wand, powered by a dedicated boiler, delivers micro-foam texture of commercial machines that enhances flavour and is essential for creating latte art.

So, either just before the warranty ends, or not long after, if you give it a once over or get someone to do that for you, and then just have this done on a yearly basis (maybe sooner, depending on how much use the machine gets) this should prevent any real issues from developing. I tried replacing the O rings on the espresso machine as it started to leak, but I made the leak worse so I’ve bought another DB from Sage using your code (thank you). Designed to show all important details clearly and accurately, the interface makes it easy to customise temperature, dosage and grind size precisely while clearly showing the stages of the extraction process with animations. It's expensive but it produces consistently great espresso - and after the initial setting up is very easy to use and so much quicker doing extraction on the built-in timer whilst at the same time texturing the milk. If you look after your machine and avoid severe limescale, it's very unlikely you'll encounter this issue.

You could use one grinder for espresso and for brew, but the problem with that is if you do way out of espresso range to use the grinder for brew, you'll have to dial back in again, which isn't ideal. It features smooth curves, a brushed stainless steel casing, inset backlit buttons, and a small LCD screen. grams dose for full flavour - Achieve a consistent and balanced espresso using the right amount of ground coffee. The fact that it has an auto-on function, meaning you can set it to be ready when you wake up needing coffee, again this is something you don't get on many espresso machines, and it just makes sense. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. You can save a significant amount of money opting for one of Sage’s smaller models like the Infuser, which is our pick for best espresso machine this year, or even the Duo Temp or the Cafe Roma. Other than that, it’s a matter of occasionally descaling the machine, with the manual giving you detailed instructions on how to do it. OK, that's not really my nutshell review ;-), but it is my overall opinion – as long as you're looking for a home barista espresso machine, not bean to cup. You should also use water to warm your cup, although you should also use the cup warmer on top, which is big enough for six cups.

The fact you can just push the front of the top of the machine and the flap slowly opens up, for you to fill the tank from the top – or if you prefer, you can just remove the tank from the back, again just little things like this make this machine so user friendly. Featuring a steam wand powered by its own dedicated boiler, this provides the ability to create the same micro-foam texture of commercial machines which is essential for creating latte art. As I mentioned in the nutshell review, you'll find a few people complaining about this if you dig through Google results. It also offers a true low pressure pre-infusion, which gradually increases the pressure to gently expand the grinds for an even extraction, for a smoother taste. It’s not uncommon to hear the Sage Dual Boiler referred to as one of the best value espresso machines on the market. In fact, I'd hazard a guess that only a small percentage of Sage or Breville Dual Boiler owners even realize that their machines have these features. Hidden in the drip tray storage area, you’ll find even more goodies: a backflush disc, allen key, “razor” dose trimming tool, and a steam tip cleaning tool.
