Koko Kanu's original label featured two of Jamaica's national symbols, the 'Doctor' hummingbird and the Lignum Vitae flower. Once married with natural coconut essence, these spirits are aged for a minimum of one year to concentrate their inimitable sun-kissed tastes.

Jamaica's Arawak Indians are a part of the Island's colourful history and they gave the language of the island several words including Hammock and Canoe. Koko Kanu is made at the legendary Wray and Nephew Distillery, which has been making rum for over 150 years. To create a Koko Kolada, to a cocktail shaker add 50ml Koko Kanu, 50ml pineapple juice and a scoop of ice.
