About this deal

Tonight’s book choice is one that T was drawn immediately too on our most recent library visit (thanks mainly to the epic front cover) – Collecting Cats by Lorna Scobie. They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated! If you want a reference so you can know what sort of book this is, think a little of books illustrated by Jon Klassen. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I have even talked the head into a little revamp of the library so that we can display them properly!

I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned.Incredibly detailed and intricate illustrations mixed with an hilarious story make this book a joy to behold. Bookwagon suggests that Collecting Cats is a picture book to share, linger over, love and visit often.

And then more big cats arrive and out narrator begins to regret their decision, deciding that perhaps collecting cats isn’t for them! Lorna grew up in the English countryside, surrounded by nature, and her love of the natural world and animal kingdom often inspires her art. It’s a fantastic independent book seller that will actually be responsive and select appropriate books for you. Not content with twelve, and still having some unconsumed cheese at the ready, our narrator leaves the remaining bait to do its job. I have to say I absolutely love cats, so when I discovered that Lorna Scobie had created a book all about cats how could I possibly resist?

Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. There is loads of detail to explore in the pictures, particularly on the spreads filled with mice and cats of all varieties! This is a purrfect story for cat lovers everywhere with it’s celebrations of cats with all their different and endearing personalities. My son and daughter love picking out all the different animals on each page, with the brilliant detail of each unique (and often funny!Twelve cats quickly becomes too many cats to count but then the fluffy, spotty fact and thin cats are joined by a big, stripy cat! As you can see I have a bundle of cats of my own ranging from the loopy Albus who is five months old, to my two year old naughty tortie Luna and finally the grand old dame Simba who is fourteen years old. Dad (old enough to know better) and Daughter (young enough to be a smarty pants) still love books even though our blog has quietly retired now. Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first.
