About this deal

If you were a reader of romance back in 2011, you didn't need to hear the book titles to know who these characters were. These would include finding out the identity of the night intruder, how the memento mori came to be left at the Emerson residence, and answers to some of the questions and mysteries that Gabriel has with the Divine Comedy. What’s interesting to read is how Gabriel chooses to deal with his obstacles in “Promise” compared to the earlier books. He held in his arms a miracle – the extravagance of grace that had been bestowed on someone who was proud and sometimes angry, intemperate and addictive, lustful and profligate.

Recently, I celebrated the one year anniversary of the Italian release of “The Roman” by Delrai Edizioni. Told from third person perspective GABRIEL’S PROMISE picks up immediately after the events of book three GABRIEL’S REDEMPTION wherein our heroine, Julianne Emerson has given birth to their daughter Clare, a difficult birth of which Julia is slow to recover.

Gabriel has vowed to be a good father when he suddenly receives an invitation to give a series of lectures in Edinburgh, Scotland--an opportunity of high prestige-but that would mean leaving his wife and child in Boston. I’ve been reading your series, Gabriel’s Inferno for quite a while now and there’s only one thing that came to mind and that is the sensuality of each character. More into the story we get to see all the rise and falls in their life that is not helping them to have an easy life and all these brings back the previous concerns from their past.

Truly melt by the end of the book you are just a pile of goo from all the sweet and precious moments between Gabriel and Clare. An amazing world full of Dante, grouchy professors, adorable babies, exciting and sexy moments and so much more. Professor Gabriel Emerson is a well known Dante specialist from Harvard who made a name for himself at the University of Toronto. Some of you might think he's selfish but man, you'll love how sweet and adoring father he is to his daughter. Hesitant to bring it up, he keeps the opportunity from Julia as long as he can, not knowing she has a secret of her own.

We get to know Clare, their newborn daughter and watch as their relationship changes from new married to new parents.

I’m a little confused about a couple of things that don’t really get explained and I would like to know who it was and why and if I’m completely honest, I want to see them in Scotland. It just felt like the author threw way too many impossible challenges at Gabriel and Julia almost at the same time, and then he may have realized this and tried to resolve some of them without giving a real explanation. Gabriel’s promise is a different story from the other books, more “mature” as Gabriel and Julianne are now parents . I'm not really sure how I feel about this one, I love the characters and the story wasn't bad but I felt like something was missing. This is the fourth book in this utterly enchanting series – and I have just reread the first three in anticipation of further goodness. They still have enemies and the pettiness of stupid people are still shocking but bright side is the baby.

The love for each other is very palpable since the very first pages of the book, Gabriel continues to be in control but at the same time, he is more aware of everything now that he has so much to care about. This book would've been good if it wasn't for the unnecessary drama, the lack of uniqueness found in the previous books, and also.I only discovered the Gabriel’s Inferno series recently after another author left a comment of Facebook about watching Part 2. My only word of caution would be for those who haven’t yet read “The Florentine Series” or “The Man In The Black Suit.
