The print quality and imagery is excellent, but in my copy there are a few marks where it seems the ink has transferred onto some of the pages which is a little disappointing and spoils an otherwise lovely print - but your copy may vary. The book rounds off with chapters on propagation, pests and diseases and weeds, followed by basic botany. Biography: Formerly Director General of the Royal Horticultural Society, Christopher Brickell is an eminent plantsman.but again, the RHS leads the field with its Encyclopedia of Gardening As a plain-speaking guide to digging, pruning, planning, pests and diseases, growing fruit and vegetables, not to mention wind and compost, it is hard to beat.
