About this deal

He uses some lesser known supernatural characters from DCs massive roster like The Spectre, The Phantom Stranger and Jack Kirby's Etrigan the Demon. I purchased Saga of swamp thing vol 1 but just saw a post about absolute swamp thing vol 1 which is about twice as big. There is so much to discuss and unpack here that I have no idea where to begin, but I believe that as many people as possible should read this.

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. As well as including challenging subject matter and adult themes, he brings a wide range of influences to his work, from the literary–authors such as William S.Quizás los primeros humanos que habitaron la tierra compartían tímidamente la fusión que la Cosa del Pantano tiene con la naturaleza. He makes you understand that horror is very important in our lives and the impact of horror to this day, can be not just scary, its needed. There is not much I can say more about this edition and only I can say - it's highly recommended read! As this is my first reading, I do not have nostalgia for the original coloring and do not have any problems with the re-coloring.

There was a crisis event happening at the same time as this trade so Alan Moore could have been making a big critique on the whole ‘mass meta disaster event’. Because the series existed as a monthly comic and when Alan Moore started writing it he needed to wrap up the previous stories.

As if 380 pages of rich, captivating and gloriously vivid panels and colouring weren’t enough, Alan Moore serves up wave after wave of sophisticated ideas and quite brilliant prose that breathe all kinds of life into an otherwise uninspiring DC character. I think that this book made DC great again and led them to make a ballsy imprint like Vertigo Comics shortly after. When Alan Moore took this book over from Len Wein, he had a completely different vision of what Swamp Thing was. Moore goes full Supernatural with Swampy, we have werewolves, Vampires and zombies, the classic stuff in a way ! The art follows the psychedelic nature of the stories very well, and it is a bit better than the first volume overall.

In parallelo sto portando avanti la saga di Sandman (di Gaiman) che ad oggi, arrivato agli ultimi due volumi, sentenzio come uno dei viaggi più emozionanti che abbia mai fatto. So even though I love the themes and message Alan Moore is trying to say throughout these stories, I find them to be a little boring at times. Along he comes and with but a flick of his pen, a turn of the page, he curb stomps the competition back into their inferior, shabbily crafted tenements. His deconstruction of the classic monster stretched the creative boundaries of the medium and became one of the most spectacular series in comic book history. It really only salvaged five stars in the final arc, which was just too well told to be anything less than full marks. Comprising three deluxe hardcover volumes, ABSOLUTE SWAMP THING BY ALAN MOORE debuts completely new colouring for every page, crafted exclusively for this definitive collector's edition by legendary colour artist Steve Oliff (Akira, Miracleman). I read some reprints of a few of the seminal issues over the years, and I read the entirety of the New 52 run in real time, along with the various one-offs and miniseries since then, but I'd never gotten to experience complete arcs of the series when it was in the hands of Alan Moore, Stephen Bissette, and John Totleben. Packed with some of the best issues of the run so far I’m looking forward to how this epic saga is going to wrap up.
