The first nose is dominated by notes of dried fruit, toasted almonds above all, walnut husks, floral and honey hints at the end. It moves like the sea that it looks at, from red crispy fruit tones to freshly bloomed purple flowers. The beautifully bitter Filippo Cea almonds (in Italian “mandorle amare”, hence the word “amaretto”) , after being handpicked and peeled, are crushed in a silk-smooth almond milk, infused with alcohol to reach the 16 ABV.
