About this deal
In the game, players are artists that are competing to paint their own renditions of the painting that Bob Ross is painting as well.
The game can be explained in seconds, and even those who feel they don’t have a creative bone in their body can have a good time. When earned, the player immediately scores 2 Chill Points and places the Technique card face up in front of them where it will remain the rest of the game. All players present their drawings at the end of the round, and have a chance to explain how the drawing represents the concept. We don’t know why the recommended age listed on the game box is 12+ because it’s certainly suitable for young kids as well.
Sweep the Art Supplies Cards — The player may discard all 4 face up Art Supplies cards and replace them with 4 newly drawn Art Supplies cards.
A case in point is Bob Ross: Art of Chill, in which players compete to paint different features on a number of paintings that the late and much-missed artist created himself on TV show, The Joy of Painting. You even score bonus points if you have a technique card used in the feature or if you happen to paint faster than the master, Bob Ross, himself.
Actions include drawing an art supplies cards, discarding two matching cards to claim the matching technique card (which is worth 2 points and 1 bonus point when used), sweep the art supplies card row, place a paint on their palette, wash half their palette, or complete a section of a painting.Points can be scored throughout the turn, and the game ends immediately when a player gets to the end of the scoring track – with the first player to reach the end of the track being declared the winner.
