About this deal

The general theme and storyline of this book was really good in my opinion, although I must say that I didn't enjoy some of the details in the story. Flora "Floss" Barnes – A generally happy and bubbly girl who sometimes struggles to stand up for herself.

Despite being a children's author, Jacqueline Wilson books explore incredibly important themes from friendships and family dynamics to mental health and sexuality. Rhiannon loves teasing people, especially the new girl, Susan Potts, as 'Swotty Potty' just because she is brainy. Floss also has a best friend, Rhiannon, who isn't much of a friend - making fun of her and her father and starting cruel rumours about her. I'm wondering if Flora had a crush on all of her friends (Rhiannon - I would too, Susan - I would too, and Ella - ofc I would too) or maybe the news of Jacqueline's coming out made me see things and project my own experiences.Sama-sama tidak mau berpisah, sama-sama saling sayang, tapi menurut Floss, ibunya sudah punya orang-orang yang menyayanginya, sementara ayahnya bakalan sendirian. I found myself being really angry with Floss's mum, no kid should be forced to chose and unless there is a good reason for it, kids should always have access to both parents.

Mrs Horsefield – Floss and Susan's kindly teacher, who does her best to support Floss and her father throughout the book. Tentu Floss diajak, tapi ia menolak karena merasa ayahnya ngga punya siapa-siapa lagi kalau dia pindah sejauh itu. Also from the other reviews I have read, I really want to know if she will go to Australia or live with her loving Dad ….Starring another of Jacqueline Wilson’s winsome and spirited heroines, this moving story of family ties is set against a whirlwind background of fairgrounds and street cafes. Dari sini, masih banyak pengalaman Floss, terutama dengan teman-teman sekolahnya, dan juga soal pekerjaan ayahnya. Jacqueline Wilson was born in Bath in 1945, and spent her childhood in Kingston-on-Thames, Surrey, where she still lives today. She announces to Floss on her birthday that the whole family is moving to Australia for Steve's new job and is heartbroken when Floss remains with Charlie. I know her audience is supposed to younger but I'm still loving these books and I can't wait to read the rest I have on mount tbr.

This book was lovely, and even now, I just want to read it over, because the first time round I was so impressed with the way i could relate to the characters. After Charlie loses the café and the flat, Billy the Chip mentions he is going to Australia to visit his son for one month and needs Floss and Charlie to live in his house while Charlie works in Billy's chip van.I LOVED IT IT WAS AMAZING THE BEGGING I NEARLY CRIED IT WAS SAD HER PARENTS BREAK UP AND IT MUST BE HARD TO DECIDE WHEARE TO GO SHE WANTED TO GO WITH HER MUM TO AUSTRALIA WITH HER MUM OR STAY WITH HER DAD IN THE CAFE I GOT IT FROM THE LIBARY. I feel as though Wilson books are a must in the lives of young children, a way of opening their eyes to the real world in the right way. Now, believe me, even though I know that her mother didn't walk out on her, it was totally not considerate of her to go and marry Steve, without thinking of Floss. Flora "Floss" Barnes' mother Sally and father Charlie split up when she was little and she wishes they'd get back together because she doesn't like her stepfather, Steve, and her little half-brother Tiger.
