It’s a beautiful place steeped in history, and we hope this will mean many more people ‘Pass GO’ through the area.

The celebrity-studded Cotswolds has won a beauty contest against 19 other AONBs - including Snowdonia, the Peak District, and the Norfolk Broads. The new game features famous Cotswolds landmarks – like Sudeley Castle and Broadway Tower – replacing the likes of Mayfair and Oxford Street on the multi-coloured Monopoly property sites. Winning Moves UK, who produced the game under license from Hasbro, say the Cotswold edition is going to be popular. To qualify and be in the running to be selected, the charities must be Cotswolds focused and official registered charities.

The world’s favourite family board game brings you another exciting edition of MONOPOLY – the Cotswolds! The featured charities will be immortalised on each of the game’s three Community Chest spaces, with Cotswolds residents encouraged to vote for their favourites from Wednesday 1 September until Thursday 30 September 2021. The infamous ‘boot’ has been a classic part of monopoly since the game’s debut , modelled after the practical work shoe of the 1930’s .
