About this deal

I am deeply annoyed with myself for not starting this series sooner, I have had Caraval on my shelf since it was released but still never thought to start it, it wasn't until I saw all the hype and excitement for Finale that spurred me on to make a start. He was a mess of gold hair, sea-salt blue eyes and bitten lips, beautiful in a way only broken things could be.

as i said, its a different tone, but still just as valuable to the series, the characters, and overall story. This was my least favorite in the trilogy just cause I miss them actually attending Caraval BUT this one was still SO good.I want to worry to pieces about the characters, ship people I'm not supposed to ship, and fret over every choice they make. Legendary revealed how Caraval, the game works, thereby revealing the secret behind the magic and then introduced a complicated plot of immortals, Fates, and old magic. this isnt my favourite installment in the series, as it takes on a different pace and direction than the previous books, but its still unbelievably good. It’s been two months since the Fates were freed from a deck of cards, two months since Legend claimed the throne for his own, and two months since Tella discovered the boy she fell in love with doesn’t really exist.

this book made up for what the other books lacked (for the most part) from the mystery to the romance aspect! Caraval had the uncertainty factor where neither the characters nor the readers knew what was real and what was fake.I think Finale was my favourite out of the three, it kept me guessing throughout and I liked the idea of the Fates playing a central role, I only wish we could have learnt more about them rather than just focussing on a handful.

She could feel her sister loving her twice as much as before, trying to heal the wound her mother’s death had left. The only reason why the ending was so rushed was because Garber kept adding miscommunication and prolonging their relationship. Legend walked away from Tella after Caraval and Scarlett told Julian that she wanted to meet her former fiance. Unfortunately, this one just didn't work for me the way that the other two did, and instead of bashing this book, I'd like to take a few minutes to detail below WHY this book didn't work for me, so that as a reader you can decide for yourself what to think. Overall, I enjoyed Finale much more than Legendary, mainly because it was a fresher storyline and not as predictable as the 2nd book. Some obstacles come up just for the sake of wasting time, as Garber never mentions them again (and there’s a GIANT one that she just never tied up—I’m only bitter about it because it was literally the only part of the book that got dangerously close to interesting).

At the time though, I needed to read something that would allow me to escape and be in a world totally different to my own, it just so happened that nearly three years later, I needed the same thing. Donatella is such a strong female in the previous novels, and I felt she was reduced to a simple love interest in this final installment. I suppose the benefit of this is that I didn't have to wait for the next book after the endings of the first two, rather I could (and did) marathon all 3 within about a week. In dreams, Legend was someone she wanted - someone she cared and worried about - but in real life, he was someone that no one should trust.Trading Address (Warehouse) Unit E, Vulcan Business Complex, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EB. last book, they talked about scarlett having no idea who legend was and in this book they don’t even have this grand reveal. This third and final book continues on from where we left off in Legendary, I don’t want to overtly spoil that book, but we are met with romantic decisions, family conflicts and the threat of the fates!
