This model includes all the features of the 5 inch model, but has a much larger 7 inch screen, 2 SD Card slots so recording can continue when a card becomes full and 2 mini XLR audio inputs. Anybody who complains that modern digital cameras aren’t built like traditional cameras can go ride a horse and buggy, as far as I’m concerned. I feel like it’s a hair less than 12 stops, but I’m shooting ProRes clips and I’m sure the loss less raw, coming in a future firmware update, will have the full 12 stops of range advertised.

So there appears to be something more than just firmware going on that allows the Blackmagic Production Camera 4K to work with a greater variety of lenses.

For editing, I maintained a standard 1920×1080 resolution, which did a minor shave on the sides of the image. Unlike saturation or midpoint which can make reds redder or yellows more yellow, adjusting tint actually lets you push the colors in different directions. The sensor features a global shutter so you get perfect panning and with minimal crop factor you also get beautiful wide angle shots from your wide angle lenses.
