I love my ECOVACS DEEBOT so much, also referred to as Francisco at my house, that this Cyber Monday I will be purchasing one for my parents, so they too can ditch vacuuming and mopping their home for good.

Those with carpets won't have a problem using the mopping option because it has a no-mop zone feature where you can put barriers around areas you want to block off, such as the carpet. I do like the fact that the Deebot maps the area that it has cleaned and saves this map for accurate cleaning. liter dustbin is housed beneath a lid on top of the vacuum, while a water reservoir for the mopping function is slotted in the back. What's nice about the Deebot Ozmo 920 is you can use this as a dumb machine too — meaning, you don't need the app to get the vacuum working.

My family walks barefoot around the house, so when it comes to floors, this mama can’t handle dirt and pet hair. The robot now knows it is in mopping mode - It will go out and find ONLY your hard surface floors to mop (it will not travel over carpet in mopping mode). and the way that hair and debris seemed to get tangled up around the brush and in the centre of the machine. We use it nearly every day and it’s really helped keep on top of dog hair and daily dust and grime too. All in all, the Deebot OZMO 920 is a superb multi-function robot vacuum, which is easy to connect to the app and configure.

I have to say, I’m really impressed with the Deebot Ozmo and our little robot Doris has become one of my most used gadgets! Plus, if she runs out of battery before she finishes her clean she’ll charge herself back up and pick up where she left off!

When the Deebot hit the hair dead on — in other words, driving immediately over it — the suction was easily strong enough to pick it up, if it was on the highest setting. The map can be seen and customised in the app, which provides a lot of additional features that will enable the user to have more control over the robot vacuum. Once fully charged it should run easily for about two hours — and we found the robot was able to work for nearly that without needing to go back for a new charge.

Still, the main brush is removable, and Ecovacs suggests that for daily use on hard floors, its suction function alone is sufficient.Once you create an account with the app, you can easily add your robot by scanning a QR code, and then linking it to your home Wi-Fi. And please don't use anything but water - cleaning fluid or wax can eventually gum up the water emitting nozzles. The app will also show you the battery and water levels for the mopping feature, and let you increase the level of vacuuming from standard to max, and even set a quiet mode.
