I told myself that the design reminds me of Beauty and the Beast and I didn't expect how relevant that would actually be because of how much loneliness this scent evokes (fitting of Belle's captivity). Maybe there is a maternal association with the baby powder profile but it’s also just very soft and rounded out. And, it lingers for days on clothes I have worn (I could still smell it when I am about to throw them into washing machine). This more intense addition to the FLOWER BY KENZO range reveals every aspect of the FLOWER BY KENZO woman: a poetic activist. It is very recognizable and if it were discontinued it would be like one of the many basic shades of perfume would be missing from the palette.The opening is very aquatic and fresh, and it dries down into what I can only compare to a vintage rose-scented blush compact or maybe a silk flower that has been scented with an old fashioned potpourri. Beautiful modern powdery fragrance with a drop of vintage, it smells like incense and white flowers. Of course the brand has other scents, but the moment someone says Kenzo, you will be excused for thinking of Kenzo Flower Perfume. It's hard to break it down by notes because it's so well blended Kenzo really did a fabulous job with this one! The rosy theme carries through the middle, but now takes a subtler role, melding harmoniously with the other components.

Obviously, if you don't like rose and violet accords and powder, you should probably avoid, but if you do love those Grande Dame cosmetic scents of yore, pick this up; you can usually find a bargain on the online discount sites. I hated it even more because she also made me wear it sometimes because I had no perfume of my own, and I would have that smell that made my head hurt for hours. This scent is like a lady in her mid 20s wearing a flare polka dot dress, high curly pony tail with a sexy red lipstick. i do like this scent, I don't see it as bad but it is sometimes very overpowering and makes my head ache. Still confused how she went from incense to a floral powder from one day to another, but I guess that's what makes names like Morillas so great. This is nice but the longer I wore it the more it dried down and reminded me of Poudree by Narciso Rodriguez. Now it smells flat with no depth, only sharp florals, and like there’s more citrus, no powderyness whatsoever. They are somewhat similar but Venise is not nearly as powdery and it does not feature violet or rose. I would of never tried this fragrance as i didnt think id like a powdery note and wasnt familiar with Hawthorne which is also a prominant note.

Clean jasmine rounds out this scent as it develops, sweetened by the vanilla in the base and joined by powdery rose and iris.

Those vintage scents can be traced back at least 30 years ago, mostly in Estée Lauder, Chanel and Guerlain (most of which were true bombs, not like this innocent Flower). I was looking for something that worked with blouses and pencil skirts, but carried a feminine floral quality to it.
