Ella Burfoot is a talented author/illustrator who has written and illustrated three previous picture books, including DARKNESS SLIPPED IN (978 0 330 51257 2), which was shortlisted for the 2008 British Book Design and Production Awards and nominated for the 2009 CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal.My daughter and I love to read this book because of the trail of clothing left behind by the (when discovered) naked yeti whom everyone is scared of but who isn't scary at all.

Not only is her illustration style really engaging, with gorgeously drawn characters and beautiful wintery landscapes but I particularly like her use of colour. The Yeti himself looked identical to Robert Nixon's version, but Betty and her family were completely redesigned.
