About this deal

If you really use a dry cut saw of this sort for any length of time, the cost of the saw itself is a drop in the bucket when compared to the cost of the blades.

If you work mostly with one specific material, wood, mild-steel, aluminium, stainless or masonry and need long lasting blades for repeated cuts, our range of application specific blades offer superior cutting performance. A good quality bit will last almost as long as it will in mild steel if you use proper pressure and lubricant.Tungsten Carbide is an incredibly tough material, able to be sharpened to a razors edge and durable enough to cut through new and reclaimed wood as well and mild steel, non-ferrous metals, plastics and composites when a suitably high grade of carbide is chosen. The number of teeth on a saw blade depends on several factors, including the type of blade, the diameter of the blade, the material the blade is designed to cut through, and the speed of the tool. A simple lesson in carbide should explain why its not a gimmick , Carbide is very strong but yet very brittle , I know because I own tons of it and work with it every day.

You need to use the right type of blade with the material it is designed to cut if you want the cleanest, smoothest results, as well as if you want to avoid accidents. Our Multi-material blades are design with a specific tooth count per inch that is optimized as part of the overall blade design to provide the best mix of fast, easy, clean cutting through the widest selection of materials. as most know there are 2 different blades, 1 a combination and the other just for steel and i noticed the cheaper one to cut different materials has every other tooth facing rearward.

Crafted from high-quality Japanese carbide and heat-treated for extra durability, these mild steel cutting blades will ease their way through steel in a fraction of the time it would have taken with a lesser blade. A 5 inch blade turning at 1 rpm with a carbide tooth silver soldered on the outside edge will have a tooth speed of 15 inches per min. An abrasive disc, on the other hand, is abrasive on all sides and catches the steel with its small fibres constantly, causing more friction and heat.
