Every time I try to think of a way to describe it my brain simultaneously implodes and explodes there is just so much packed into this book. I will say from looking at the character art and descriptions I thought I’d have a specific favorite but I was so wrong. I already know that this series is going to be right next EL and that I won’t be able to pick a favorite. plot - the plot is meh during this book (they literally fight, drink, and have sex 24/7) but the ending sets up a really nice direction for the story to go in.They were just so well developed that it made me like them as characters even when they weren’t doing the nicest things. Port Black - a dark and sinister city abandoned to The Exiled, a gang of unhinged and psychotic demons who have claimed it as their own. I'm not normally a fan of monster sex books but jeeeeeez does this hit every single steamy note it reaches for! Big, bad, hunky demons with the perfect dirty talk, with some happy to please one of the other demons while Palmer is being pleased at the same time. All I see in the future for Palmer is heartbreak and betrayal 🥺🥺 I just want to wrap her in a bubble.

The demons in charge sure know how to make an entrance in their club, Haunt, and to a new series in general! Honestly, I’m not sure that Sloane is capable of letting someone claim him, but he certainly makes my heart race.These characters were introduced in The Magic of Eternity, but it is not necessary to read this before diving into Port Black. With an invitation to their depraved nightclub in hand, a leather corset wrapped around my torso and a mask complete with tall bunny ears, these demons aren’t going to be able to resist me. I mean, we've seen The Exiled in the future already so how much could there really be before the craziness of Emerald Lakes? Ashland, Talon, Misha, Rhodes and Felix had been banished from their home for being part of the resistance and now run Port Black.

This book gave me some realization that I missed this universe so much and I honestly can’t wait for the next book! I loved this story so much it completely sucked me in the writing was just so darn good the world building the overall story the characters I loved Palmer and her guys even the side characters were so intriguing down to the ghost who’s following Palmer around to her little sidekick a squirrel that’s half dead and is named Snake I laughed so hard at all the banter especially between the guys and the steam the SMEXY TIMES!Honestly hard to find a release date and it had a kickstarter for the duet… So weird there’s no actual date for release. There is so much going on and answers I need and a ending that left my jaw on the floor and cursing this author respectfully of course lol I will definitely be reading this authors back list to bide my time while I’m waiting for book 2 but I’m so excited and can’t wait! Remember that this community is built on women supporting women, so keep that in mind when you post or comment. Demons In My Bed is a dark and dirty reverse harem paranormal romance that gives a nod to Emerald Lakes but can be read as a standalone series.
