About this deal

I rated this book 4 stars because it was really good but really short, I mean, I read it all in one day! Wheadon of Common Sense Media wrote that "when Kinney sticks to his Halloween theme, the story feels fresh and holds together well. The scene where Greg "blaps" in band class is currently the only known time where he actually poops his pants in the books (even if it isn't outright mentioned). The backpack tipping over Greg on the cover is meant to be an ode to the backpack that makes Greg slouch on the first book's cover.

His mum thinks video games are turning his brain to mush, so she wants her son to put down the controller and explore his "creative side". Maddox accuses Greg of having stolen one of his Legos (one of the tiny useless blocks, which stuck to Greg's arm without him noticing, which results in his mother frisking Greg), and Susan ends the playdate in disappointment. Get ready to see the Wimpy Kid world in a whole new way with the Awesome Friendly Kid series, written by Greg Heffley’s best friend, Rowley Jefferson.Right from the piano lessons to french horn to embarrassing situations with Rowley to the reference to Truman's show - the stage is held together with a fabric that is funny to the senses. And if you want to read Rowley’s side of the story, you’ll have to read his journal, Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid.

Greg is later harassed at school by the boys because they didn't like Susan's changes to the the party. For more details, please consult the latest information provided by Royal Mail's International Incident Bulletin.

Jeff Kinney said since the Long Haul's release, he wouldn't make the books continuous anymore, as of Greg getting his room back, and the Pig not wearing Manny's shorts or walking on his hind legs. It has a poorly written plot, you could even say there was no plot and there really wasn't the kind of "Jeff Kinney" word choice you'd see from a "Jeff Kinney" book. Verdict : We are in for a major change in the life of Greg if there're further additions to this series. At home, Greg finds an off-limits bag of chocolate chips and realizes that he will get in trouble after eating them. Wanting Halloween candy, Greg enters a contest at school in which students release balloons with letters attached, and the student whose balloon goes the farthest wins a jar of candy corn.

There is a girl dressed like Hermoine Granger from the Harry Potter franchise at the Halloween party. I love how Greg is still being Greg, growing up just like one of us believing all the silly lies that adults tell and trusting his older brother, Rodrick, in all the silliest, stupidest stuffs that he keeps telling Greg (yeah we all have been there! Greg accidentally gets a brick stuck in his arm, which Maddox accuses Greg of stealing, leading to Greg being kicked out. The complaints from moral guardians surrounding Underpants Bandits and Spinetinglers is a parody of the complaints surrounding Captain Underpants, by Dav Pilkey and Goosebumps by R. Reasons include excessive amounts of filler, the boring and confusing plot, the video making plot not happening until the end, and possibly the main antagonist only appearing in 14 pages.

Susan is disappointed at Greg, as he viewed Maddox as an antisocial nerd instead of a good role model. He later says that he got his balloon back and that the kid who found his balloon, Maddox Selsam, came over for a playdate. Kinney is right up there with J K Rowling as one of the bestselling children’s authors on the planet’ Independent Have you read all the DIARY OF A WIMPY KID series?

I think that this book is funny because everything possible goes wrong for Greg (the boy in the story). Kinney is right up there with J K Rowling as one of the bestselling children's authors on the planet' Independent Have you read all the DIARY OF A WIMPY KID series? I keep reading these books like an idiot thinking that there is going to be something new, something unique, something funny.Rachel Chipman of the Deseret News wrote that the book would "probably not attract any new fans", while longtime fans of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series would "adore [Greg's] Halloween middle school adventures". On his way to the stage another kid in the band, Jake McGough intentionally gives Greg a flat tire and when he stops to fix his shoe, he ends up locked in the room. Greg talks incessantly about aliens, reality shows, dreams, his mother's classes at school, french horn lessons, Halloween parties, and oh yeah, making a movie to get rich quick. This is also the second odd-numbered book that doesn't have three words in its title (this book only has two words in its title). While going to get paper towels, he finds gummy worms and comes up with the idea to make a horror movie.
