I'll give her that, though she didn't know when to back down and always tried to put herself in danger.

The plot felt very repetitive, and not just because we were repeating the same timeline but because a lot of the kink, characterisation and "smart mouth" dialogue was just almost rinsing and repeating Leon and Rae.The only thing he has going for him is that cocky mouth, and without it, he is a total Leon carbon copy. He was obsessed with her and wanted to stand beside her while she protected herself because he respected how much she needed to be in control of her own life and all this while still being supportive and just admiring her. They have this amazing chemistry and you'll get jealous of it because they were so perfect together and now that Juni is back in town she gives her mine, Body and soul to Zane for one reason Revenge. After listening to Her soul to take, I was excited to hear Junipers and Zanes story, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely devoured this book, and despite its connection with the first one in the series, it maintained a distinct narrative. Her romances never let me down and I seriously fall harder and harder for her romance heroes each and every time I finish one of her books. Maybe because this serves a bit like a prequel to Her Soul To Take and we know where it's going, maybe the characters needed more elements so they can grip you, maybe the publishing of the book was rushed, I don't know. For example, I never understood why Juniper killed left and right before she made the deal with Zane. It’s well written, I have said this before, and It still holds true, what a vivid Imagination that the author articulates flawless through her writing. The second half was about her getting revenge and seeing her plan play out while she also got over some of her fears.
