About this deal

There’s information on the deck, an article on different ways to engage with it, and beautiful bits of herbcrafting wisdom from Latisha.

This morning, we were discussing yesterday’s death of James Lovelock, the creator of the Gaia Theory and whose other work helped us understand the effect of manmade pollutants on our world. Long-held beliefs may not be rooted in reality; refuse to go along with the crowd; believe the threatened, oppressed ones. On every page they recommend ways you can craft with the plant on the card and sometimes this includes suggestions like “make infused honey” or “create a tincture” but it obviously doesn’t list a recipe.Despite the deep ties to herbalism, the creators are adamant that you do not need to be a master herbalist or pro tarot reader to work with the deck. com, the Sell on Etsy app, and the Etsy app, as well as the electricity that powers Etsy’s global offices and employees working remotely from home in the US. As such, this card also represents activism, passion, and creativity – and fighting for what is right even if it’s controversial. Thoughtful is a word I’ll use over and over in this review because of how deeply thought out every card in this deck is.

If we have a long-term goal, sometimes throwing ourselves headlong into it will just wear us out before we reach the goal. She says that when she gets a new deck she asks it the following questions to set intentions for working with it. Whether you are truly grieving a loss of a person or pet or sad over things not going as planned, we all must learn to address our healing needs and move forward. This High Priestess card tells us to focus on our dreams, intuition, and genetic memory – all things that are easily pushed to the wayside in day-to-day life. These are certainly not the only plant-themed tarot decks out there and I'm planning on a second part to this post where I also include a few of my favorite oracle decks (in which there are many, many more of them when compared to tarot decks). As an herbalist, I use tarot in my healing practice and as a tool to help folks connect with plant allies. As a long-term fan of The Gaian Tarot, I eagerly awaited receipt of the new Herbcrafter’s Tarot deck illustrated by Joanna Powell Colbert and written by Latisha Guthrie.
