About this deal

Overall score: 8/10; This work earns a personal higher score but with a Mixed Feelings recommendation, as there are many elements of this series that don't match up with what one would do themselves if they were in Aristia's shoes. Without spoiling the ending, there are three main love interests with whom Aristia works through her relationships. Two end up left behind, and one prevails. It is likely the original novel's

Ah and concerning Carsein's future wife Princess Lynn(Princia) of Lua is dating his brother after he proposed to her in front of everybody, and they’ll get marry and have a son. So she is not Carsein’s wife. It's probably because she's called Lady of Ras that fans were confused. But she is only Carsein's sister in law. She becomes Tia's first real female friend btw (whitout political motives unlike the "friends" Tia met at the tea party and after that I think I remember she gets closer to Lady Genoa, but with her, the relationship is more because they understand each other). So yeah, I really believed that the final pairing in the abandoned empress is really controversial and I really felt bad for the author and the artist for recieving a lot of hates and even death threats from fans (they're basically crossing the line). I really do hoped that if the author was planning for another series, it will have a much better plot than TAE. Adaptation Distillation: The finale of the manhwa completely removes almost all information about the past timeline and how it went wrong. It also only briefly touched upon the Jieun/Aristia discord. The author actually left an apology at the end of the story indicating they didn't have time to show all the details. It's not the typical, popular, mainstream romance story that pleases everybody. It's not for those who are thirsting for the more popular flowery romance story. I don't think it intends to be one. Not that i hate the more popular story. But it is perfect for those who are looking for a change of pace, who are willing to open their minds to a boarder perspective on things, and those who loves stories that is not bluntly obvious as how things are to be expected.

I love that Aristia is growing closer to her father in this timeline and that she's discovering emotions and different sides of people that she wasn't able to experience previously! Jieun, mostly as a result of Never My Fault, has this towards everyone in the entire empire. In particular, Aristia for "taking everything from her" and Ruveliss for leaving her behind when she was pregnant and they were politically KO'ed.

Base-Breaking Character: Ruve is single-handedly the biggest point of contention amongst fans in the entire story, to the very point where he completely overshadows just about every other element in the story. The biggest reason for this is whether or not fans decide he's culpable for the actions of his alternate self, and whether or not it's believable that Aristia fell for him again as an adult/late teenager.La emperatriz abandonada es una historia sobre el destino y como Aristia decide romper esa línea impuesta por el dios Vita para poder forjar su propio camino. The male lead. He is the Crown Prince of the Castina Empire and heir to the throne. He is cruel to Aristia, no matter how hard she tried to earn his love. If you want to know more about that triangle : After Jieun appears and is Ruve's partner at a ball (she was forced on him), Carsein takes Tia to this ball and even gives her a red dress to match with him (giving a dress to a lady is equivalent to declaring one's feelings for the lady) -

No Sympathy: Tia's response to Jeiun's legitimate grievances with her situation are met only with increasing anger as Tia does not really want to understand or empathize with someone whose sheer existence upends everything Tia has worked her whole life for. She doesn't care that Jeiun's own life has also been kinda ruined by this whole situation and she has no ability to make her own choices. Many also compared this work to Doctor Elise and the ML's behaviour towards the FL in the 1st timeline was more reasonable. Like imagine being forced to marry a Rashta like lady. And the plot of Doctor Elise focused more on redemption. So much happens in this volume, because I’m not done talking yet. She meets the chancellor’s genius second son, who becomes infatuated with her and proposes to her at first meeting. Yes, a 13-year-old proposes to a 10-year-old. You are not imagining things. Her possessive father (HAHAHA) hears this and disapproves immediately! He announces that he needs to learn to be good with a sword and not just his brain if he wants to go anywhere near his daughter, and only as a friend at that. The chancellor’s son takes on the challenge because he really wants to marry—I mean become friends with our female lead. How cute, HAHAHA. Of course, I’ll take anyone over the dipshit crown prince. I’ve run out of names to call him at this point.

Thus 2nd timeline (2TL) Tia shows her emotions more and Ruve, seeing Tia showing all these emotions and laughing with Karsein and Allen, realizes she is not unfeeling and cold. So, is this different enough from similar books? Well, maybe. I could read ahead, but will wait for subsequent volumes to see what happens - there is every danger that they’ll try to reform Ruve, which is probably going to leave a bad taste in my mouth since it’s one thing to erase an act and a whole other to suggest the intent was never there. That’s my biggest cautionary note, certainly. The Load: While Jieun was much loved by Ruveliss, she couldn't actually do any of the work she was supposed to be handling, leaving Tia to clean up after her. In the original timeline, after Tia's execution Ruveliss came to realize how valuable she was and how useless Jieun was in contrast, eventually coming to hold her in contempt. Allen wants to inherit the household, thinking he is better than his brother, but the parents think it's unfair, since the oldest son is supposed to inherit. Nach dem sie hingerichtet wurde und neu erwacht, konnte ich die Protagonistin viel besser verstehen. Anfangs war sie mir eher unsympathisch. Aber danach fand ich sie einfach tough. She is summoned to the palace because apparently a prophecy granted her a divine name, which somehow makes her a threat to the imperial family I guess. She doesn’t feign ignorance, and rather advises the current emperor (the douchebag’s father) of a current political and economical issue, and her proposal is enacted. I don’t want to go into further detail because it would take too long, but if you read the volume you know what I’m talking about. She also reveals to the emperor that she does not desire to be empress, even though they believe she is the child of a different prophecy, the shitty one that started this whole thing. They say she will be his fiancé in name for now, and they will end their engagement later. This was all at her suggestion I believe. What a smart girl! I wish her past self was this smart too. Late-Arrival Spoiler: Because the webnovel comes out first, a lot of readers are at least aware of the ending that Aristia is paired with Ruve. If anything it makes me hopeful that we’ll see a print release of the incredibly gay and incredibly bawdy Mage & Demon Queen at some point) The FL experienced the cruelty of the ML first-hand and she didn't came from the modern world and then got reincarnated into her favourite novel (Just like "Who Made Me A Princess"). It’s too soon for Aristia to know that her life has already changed, thanks to the first steps she took once she awoke as a little girl. Not only her own life, but also the lives of the people closest to her will change—for good or bad, we don’t yet know, but I can’t wait to find out.
