For a gentler clean to remove surface dirt and cobwebs, you can use a solution of washing up liquid in warm water. Be careful not to over scrub with anything harshly abrasive, and avoid rubbing against the grain, as that can leave marks.

After 30 minutes, scrape the surface with something sharp like a paint scraper. If the stripper hasn’t worked you will need to apply a bit more and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Using weed control fabric significantly reduces the need for chemical weed killers while being safe to use and very easy to install. Work in small sections and be careful, as it can be quite slippery when it’s working. It doesn’t blister or fizz but don’t worry, it’s doing the job. When you compare it to the Everbuild you won’t have any issues at all with the quality. Both are up to the job of killing and loosening Algae and mould, taking a fair bit of the strain out of the process. I’ll say it again though, with volume it’s probably even more important – you could do with a jet washer to lighten the load. The stripper aims to remove most oil and latex-based sealers, varnishes, transparent or semi-transparent stains, along with dirt, mold, and mildew. The manufacturer recommends that the product be applied with a pressure washer or garden sprayer for maximum success. Particularly tough stains may require two applications, or alternatively, you can use less water when mixing to create a more heavily concentrated solution.
